The older freon cans uses different puncture points the dont work with twist on hose/valve assembly, the brass fittings in the kit can modify any application.

Bought this mostly for the ball valve attachments to isolate tools or control flow. The gaskets and Schrader cores were a bonus for the price

The ball valves worked fine, the angled adaptors on the other hand had me chasing a leak for a couple hours.. swapped the nylon seals with the rubber ones, still leaked. Ended up being where the flare fitting is crimped/pressed (?) To the tube..I would assume the majority of people getting these are familiar with soldering or brazing.. so before you beat your head on the wall chasing a leak, just solder the fitting to the tube and they work like a charm. After that, you cant beat the price...
