Doesn’t work. It was installed correctly and handled carefully, but unfortunately did not work.

The element is a standard replacement for this type of dishwasher. I had to add O-Rings to the plastic nuts to make a better seal. Not related: I had to run the dishwasher in rinse mode 10x times to get rid of all the soap build up. All set now.

Washer wasn’t drying and cleaning effectively. Found the heating element was faulty. This one fit perfectly, saving me hundreds that it would have cost to purchase a new dish washer.

The element is too big for my Maytag dishwasher. But, That does not mean it will not work. There is a stand off at 6 OClock on the bottom of the dishwasher its suppose to support it and then two metal flat tabs that are on the old element. The new element does not come with these. We can fix that :)To take off the flat metal stand offs use two pliers and bend it in opposite directions. Like your going to twist it. Then it will come off and you put them on the same way you took them off. The specs say the new element is 14 or 15 inches long. Mine takes a much smaller one approximately about 10 inches from where it goes thru the bottom of the dishwasher to power to the stand off at about 6 OClock. I just moved the stand offs to about the 4 and 8 OClock position if you think of the element as a circle. Just running the first wash to see how it goes. The advertising says the element is bendable and I can assure you it is not. It will give a bit to fit the connections thru the bottom of the dishwasher but do not get the idea that you can bend it like a piece of wire. It will most likely crack and be all done. My dishwasher has the metal tub not the plastic tub. A lot of people saying it melted their plastic tub. So be careful. While you have your washer torn apart its a good time to clean the inside. Mine was full of slime residue that I think was left over from the packaging of those detergent balls you can put in instead of just pouring soap in the dispenser. I figure it did not get hot enough to fully dissolve them and it accumulated on the bottom and in the filter.

Had to shape the coil to get it to fit..NOTE, make sure you have Jet-Dry / Drying agent in your Dishwasher. Most models will not turn on the Heating coil unless there is Jet-Dry in it.

unit was perfect fit however the plastic nuts that hold the element it are shorter than the nuts that came with the original. I accidentally put one of the old nuts back on and it does not allow enough space fore the power wire to plug back in. I had to pull the washer back out and replace the nut to allow the wire to push on to the element. My bad, but it would be easier if both nuts were the same size.
