My daughter (7) received this as a gift and absolutely loves it. The camera offers a lot of fun filters and games, it even plays music. It would be cool if it was rechargy, but that can be added with rechargeable AAs. Neat toy.

This Vtech camera sold me from the start, we used it non-stop, for the price this Vtech camera has a decent quality, I do like that it has games, filters and even an option for videos.I do recommend if your child like to take lots of pictures to get an SD card.

Got each of my kids one for Christmas. Have to say this is their favorite of everything they got. Holds up to about 400-500 pictures before having to delete. My kids love the interactive games that are already in the camera.Plus it’s drop proof. My kids have dropped it hard multiple times and the camera shows no signs of damage

I bought this VTech camera for my 5-year-old daughter as a Christmas present, and she absolutely loves it! She figured out how to use it relatively quickly, and it quickly became one of her favorite gifts. She still uses it often. It’s the perfect size for small hands, making it easy for her to handle. The camera is also very durable – she’s dropped it several times, and it still works perfectly. I’m really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it for young kids!

Seems well built, and is quite a bit larger than the other equivalent cameras my children have had. This is actually a plus in my eyes, as it is easier for them to hold and manipulate. SD card install was easy, and it seems to take quality pictures. It won't compete with anything high-end, but actually does reasonably well with low light...on par with a cheaper but modern cell phone camera. Came with a few basic games that the kiddos enjoy.Removed one star for the battery design - figured out after the fact that it does not accept rechargeable batteries, only AA. To make things more difficult, the batteries are installed underneath two double-covers (one snap and one screw) in each handle. So changing the batteries is actually fairly cumbersome and will get expensive. I recommend at minimum installing a good set of rechargeable AA's even though you have to remove them to charge each time (even with rechargeable installed, the USB will NOT charge the batteries).

I bought this for my 5 year olds since I noticed they like taking pictures with their tablets, but I don't always want them carrying a tablet around when we visit places. My kids love their cameras (purchased a pink and blue so they could tell whose camera was whose)! It's pretty sturdy if it drops from a foot or two height, though I don't recommend actually doing that on purpose. Not sure how it would hold out if it's higher than a couple feet, but the camera is pretty thick. If anything comes off, it's usually thr battery cover (there's a cover to the area with the batteries; the batteries are held in place with another cover underneath the first cover, which can be screwed into place so no batteries become dislodged). My kids find it easy to operate too, and it's fun seeing the pictures they take, which are a decent resolution. The quality is nothing like the cameras on the modern phone, but it's good enough for a kid. Flash is adjustable too (on, off, auto), and there is sound volume/control.Keep in mind, it does NOT come with a neck strap but rather 1 wrist strap. I purchased a neck strap seperately, but the part where you would loop it onto the camera is very small and I had to use a toothpick to push it through the holes. There are some fun filters that my kids like to use and there is an option to take videos with it. However, deleting photos can be tedious as there's no grid view; you have to scroll through each photo individually and manually delete each one which can be tedious and time consuming (arrow, delete button, confirm, rinse and repeat). If your kid likes taking dozens of photos at a time, I suggest checking their pictures often. It is a bit heavy for small kids to carry around, and if you put it in a purse or backpack, you will definitely notice/feel the weight. It kind of feels like carrying a very large Russell potato around (heavy and bulky), which is another reason I got them neck straps.Camera can connect to a computer so the pictures taken can be downloaded, saved, and shared, but only through a computer. No need to worry about the added cost of buying or wasting some kind of special poloroid paper since that's not an option anyway.Overall, it's a good first/kid's camera and everyone seems happy with the purchase.

With new batteries installed, the camera worked well at first. However, after an hour or so, we were not able to switch on the camera despite putting in new batteries. There may be a problem with the circuit boards internally. Beware!

I would give it 100 stars if I could. We haven't printed from it yet but we will be this weekend. My granddaughter is 5 and the games are wonderful. She loves taking pictures!
