This is a tough one: But for 1 fatal shortcoming, these laces get 5* easily - color was right on, and their materials and/or construction appears to be better than the original laces in my new (2 week old) Air Jordan 1's. However, 1 pair of the two I ordered and received was 5-6" longer than the length I ordered and the other pair was 4-5" longer; both longer than the original laces I was replacing because they stretched such that I couldn't avoid walking on them (even tying them with double knots). I've gone with 4* because Amazon made the refund extremely easy and convenient -- and, they really are great laces, if you're lucky enough to get the size you order.

These shoelaces were a replacement for a pair of Jordan's that came with a highly controversy shoe lace . I was able to lace these perfectly to the shoe as the measurements were exact and gave a "from manufacturer" look which fixed the shoes.

I have bought these laces before for different shoes and they are exactly right. I needed replacement laces for the original (thin and slippery) laces for my running shoes.. These are very well made and are the perfect amount of smooth but not slippery. Just the right width. Available in many lengths so I was able to get just the right ones. Also so many colors. I got ones to match but there were also nicely contrasting ones if I wanted to go that way.
