The cables are not molded in the connectors but held with simple glue.Any wiggle in those cables over time can create added resistance, eventualy resulting in a lot of heat, compromising the cables and connectors (=melting) and the electrical signal reliability for the rest of the system (destroy the battery).On my unit, one of the pins in the stator connector was recessed too deep to make a good connection.
