This kit had every tool suggested for practicing Bonsai. The tools are well made and work exactly as they are supposed to. I am new to Bonsai and all my requirements are met with this set. I wish they tools came in a small plastic tool box instead of the case because I have to remove the tools I need and replace them in the case each time I use them. A tool box would be more convenient. I put my tools in a 20 inch plastic toolbox with enough room to also keep my wire in. I just grab my box and go. The company's response to my order was quick, I received to set on time and it was packaged for protection of the tool set. I recommend this set for anyone practicing Bonsai, especially if you are on a budget. This rating is based on my actual purchase and use.

This is a kit that I sent back only because it’s more advanced than for a beginner. But when I’m there I will re-order it because it was a very nice set.Update , I rebought this set. I ordered a Hawaiian bonsai n it came with its pot broke , they resent another bonsai n the pot was broke! So now I have to of the same bonsai both sitting in broken pots, I was thinking by now Brussels bonsai would just put fragile on the box. But instead, I have to get my bonsai on ! I’m gone to b jumping from beginner to Intermediate n try my luck slip reporting the 2 bonsai or watch them slowly die in front of me, this being said, I went back on line n read yet another 100 or more reviews n for the money n what u get in this 14 piece set is well worth what u pay , I seen lots of sets offering less n asking for more $$ then this set n if u settle for a set with less pieces u get stuck doing a project not having the right tool’s to work with .. so I guess I meant what I stated earlier .. its a nice set n n it looks like I’d have to get ready to try my hand n slip repot. , I said I buy it again n now I did:) happy holidays n I hope this helped knowing I did all the reviews on this tool set n it comes up A’s .

Overall a good set of tools especially for the beginners. The tools are sharp and seem to cut well. I like the hammered blacksmith look of the tools. As long as you clean and oil these after use they should last and perform as they should. May have to re-sharpen down the line also. The wire cutters are a little “iffy” but for the price of this set you can’t beat it. Go ahead and give them a try!

I just started working on Bonsai trees and wanted to have a complete kit that was cost effective. These tools are sturdy and come in a nice organized kit. This toolkit will suffice for the time being, but does not have the quality that I will ultimately want in a Bonsai tool kit. The tools are not very sharp and the mechanisms are a bit sluggish, but this may change after they have been used for awhile. Overall I rated this kit a 3 based upon these observations, but I would recommend it to anyone wishing to become familiar with Bonsai tools. I will eventually upgrade to higher quality when I learn to use them properly, and when I decide which ones are most often used by myself. Definitely worth the cost.

I couldn’t have done better for the money! I will admit you can spend $200 or more on a set of more expensive tools as I have many many times and actually I purchased this set because recently my Jin Pliers broke on me and a new pliers was going to cost me $43.99 anyway so I was in the process of looking for a new pair I ran across this set which included a pair of Jin pliers and for an extra $20 I could just buy this whole set which also includes a couple other tools I was going to have to replace in the near future so I thought why not...lol and I have to admit I’m impressed with the heavy duty quality of the tools! They were a lil stiff at first but after a little bit of lube and they were good to go! I haven’t used every tool in this set yet only about half of them so far in the past few weeks since I purchased this set. But the ones I have used seem to be good quality however I did notice that one pair of pruners seem to be a little looser than I’m use to but maybe that’s just me and I didn’t purchase this set for the pruners anyway! The packaging wasn’t great just the closed case inside a box and I feel like they could add something to keep the set from maybe getting damaged during shipping I feel like that could lead to some unnecessary problems for them in the future.But this company ships very fast and arrived sooner than I expected! I would recommend this set to anyone from beginners to intermediate bonsai enthusiasts especially for beginners who can’t afford or want to spend a ton of money or someone like myself who is looking to replace one or maybe two tools but can get a whole set for just a few extra bucks! I think you might be surprised! And I know there are gonna be some hardcore bonsai enthusiasts out there that’s probably gonna read this review and say I’m crazy because they have $1000’s of dollars of tools in their boxes! But this review was based on price point and quality based on that price and my satisfaction based on that alone.
