I already knew I wanted the voicebanks, so that will not be in my review. The sleeve was in essentially mint condition for something no longer manufactured, with original plastic packaging and sticker, and media was mint. Came with unregistered license ID and serial number as expected. A reminder: just make sure you have a compatible editor you can use the voicebanks with, because that isn't included.

Its a good program....However it can be difficult to install. The instructions I received were entirely in Japanese....Yeah it took me hours to finally get it working. I recommend you look up tutorials on YouTube if you want to understand the program. I suggest you start off with making covers before you can make originals. That's what I'm doing. It helps you learn and get used to Vocaloid 2. As for their voices, I think they sound fine but I recommend using the "Clear" option because their voices sound fuzzy when you put in a note. Make sure you use dynamics and other stuff and they will be more realistic. :)

Takes time to get used to but very fun when you do get used to it. It was better than I had expected.

Now Len and Rin have been out for a while so what I write here will probably not change to many minds but here is what I got when using them. This two are not exactly user friendly. Both tend to slur there pronunciation of words and are pretty choppy. Some might consider this cutesy and add to their charm but I personally found it to be a bit of a headache. Along with slurring both are bit muffled at times so you will need to give these two quiet a bit of TLC when using them. However, before you start sharping your pitch forks to kill I do have good to say about them. Unlike their younger sister Luka and Older sister Miku and MEIKO (from V1) Rin and Len both fill a good niche and make the crypton family a bit more complete. How so? Rin I think is a bit better at this by being a bridge voice between other female voice synthesizer as being a powerful but cutesy voice (I personally used her to bridge Miku and Meiko together) Men while Len is the younger male voice that was needed to balance out KAITO. Along with them acting as good niche holders Both Rin and Len have received Appends that further expanded there vocals. Which in my personal opinion they really should of just called the "Power Append" what it really was a thinly veiled "Act 3" because of its abilities to further fix known issues with the two. The one draw back to this is that you can't just get the Appends and you have to purchase the Act 2 in order to use the appends. (This may get solved with Rin and Len V3 upgrades) but if you are willing to spend some time learning the kinks of each of these vocaloids and also willing to spend a bit more to get some go third party software and their apends you can have some very powerful vocaloids on your hands.

Chose this rating because I like the Vocaloid2 series. Hatsune Miku and Miku Append worked fine. But I've spent the better part of this year back and forth with Crypton support trying to get it to work.Installing it screwed something up. We've been trying, again and again.Would recommend it to anyone for whom it works.

I got these guys a week ago and installed them in english. Len is kind of hard to work with but sounds better than Rin. That is why I am getting there Appends soon though. Nice to have these voices even though I just bought them to get there Appends. Next its IA. I would not recomend these guys for vocaloid newbies.
