This was exactly what I needed for hanging my headphones and coat on a metal filing cabinet. The magnetic strength is plenty for even my heavy coats.

I bought these magnets thinking it will hold my winter coat and was extremely disappointed. The magnets just slide right down the metal surface. Tried multiple surfaces and they still do not hold. I've had refrigerator magnets hold better than these.

I used these as coat hangers on the side of our gun safe. They never fell off even with 3-4 coats on them. Great value & well worth it.

Needed to hang some new drying mats for dishes. We didn't want to drill into our wood cabinets or store them in a drawer as they would be wet frequently. Had a stainless dishwasher that we never use so bought these to attach to the dishwasher to hang the drying mats there. Holding power is great, unobtrusive!

When I initially unboxed the hooks, I saw some scratching on the face, which was a little disappointing, but ultimately not the end of the world. I stuck one of the magnets on the refrigerator and was VERY let down by the strength. Was awful. I decided to try them on the steel cabinet I bought them for to begin with and placed one in an arbitrary place. It absolutely shocked me with how hard to held when on an appropriate surface. Fantastic.

I have a set of 4 in silver. I bought these in black - they look nice but just taking them scratched off some of the black. I knew it was a coating - same price, tried it. Wish I'd bought the silver.
