I have a couple of these units and I find them the optimal solution for quickly accessible secure home or business storage of defensive handguns. No batteries, no fingerprints, no WiFi, no smartphone app required - just choose a button pattern you can easily remember. The simplex lock is easily operated in the dark or without looking directly at the safe. When locked, the safe is very secure from anyone that doesn’t know the combination. This is a very solidly built tamper resistant safe with a full length hinge, secure locking mechanism and thick steel body and lid. Absolutely would buy again.

Happy it’s made in USA! Simple to reset lock combination and reliable with no need for batteries. Foam inside secures contents inside and bottom panel has holes for fasteners to anchor the safe to a solid surface.

I had a gun safe from another Manufacturer, which turned out to be too small for my new revolver, so I had to get a new safe. The old safe needed a key, which was a huge drawback. I knew if bad things began to happen in the middle of the night, I'd have problems, so I wasn't going to replace it with just a larger version of what I had. The Tactical Top Draw, which was the model I purchased, was everything the other one wasn't. Yes it was more money than the pencil box that I had, but It's protecting an expensive firearm. There's no need for a key or batteries. It has a simplex lock, which operates much as the name implies, and it is very sturdy. It took me 2 minutes to set my combination, and that was that (remember to write it down). One thing that I neglected to get was the quick release mounting bracket, which, if you want the safe to be portable, you should get. I am bolting my safe in place and have no need for portability.I am 100% all in with V-Line.

I own many of these products which are super professional, full proof no gimmicks opens up on demand and really secure. I recommend this product because it is for people who are professional about their safety and others.

This is the 3rd V-Line safe I purchased. I got rid of the majority of my other safes that needed a batter, a key, or a combination dial that took too long to open. It's large enough, would be really hard for a child to break into, or anyone else. It is thick steel and I don't see how anyone could bend the sides to get into it. The lock is easy to make whatever you want it to. If you're looking for a good sized safe with a secure lock and secure construction, I don't see any reason why not to pick this one.

I initially bought the smaller ‎279-S-BLK safe (7.25"D x 9.5"W x 2"H), and while it fit my P365 and three mags neatly, it was so shallow that I couldn't close and lock it. It seemed more suited to a passport and jewelry than a firearm. But this unit increases the height by 3/4", which is the perfect height for handgun storage. It's very sturdy and I LOVE the lock. No batteries to replace and die when you need it the most. Plus, you can use button combinations, like pressing 1 and 2 together . This greatly increases the possible code combinations and allows for simple opening, without having to enter long codes. I'll be ordering a second one to place next to the first one, as my dresser drawer is 24.25" wide. Great product!

I think my title says it all. It's a quality product - well made, in the USA, and at a reasonable price. Yes, one could get an imported thing for less money, but will it have a quality simplex lock, well finished edges, well packed and packaged, etc? Dubious.I hope the company reads these, so I'll start with feedback - there is a tiny sticker on the shipping box that says that it is a CA compliant firearm storage or something like that. I don't want anyone knowing that I have anything firearm related in my home. That little sticker could let an onlooker see and build a concept. UPS/Amazon leaves boxes on doorsteps quite often. Also, there is the 10ga brute, and boxes like this. I would like to see a "standard" box that is 12ga, maybe even 10ga on some key areas. The steel on this box is well finished, well bent/connected, and sturdy. The typical thief has minimal tools, maybe a few screwdrivers. But they could have a crowbar or something. Something in between might be useful to some folks - I would think? And that's the end of what I could consider feedback of what needs improvement/my suggestions. The box is very well packed, in a sturdy shipping box, with an easy means of pulling it out (cardboard handle integrated), tightly wrapped in plastic. Well done. No real chance of it getting beat up in shipment.Easy instructions inc, used for setting the lock. Simplex locks are supposed to be intuitive, but I had never used one before. Good document indicating how, what and where for use and setting.Well thought out bolt holes. Two are square - seemingly to allow a carriage bolt to be employed. Smart, IMO - you may, you may not...Minimal foam. Not sure how I feel about foam. Some say it can rust steel items and holds moisture. There's not a lot in here. Could be swapped for something else. Also includes some VCI to keep the items inside protected.I like that the metal top goes way down the sides. I'd think that would make it harder to get in with certain tools like screwdrivers, stronger if someone tried to beat on it, though perhaps easier with a prying tool or crowbar. Not sure. Still, it gives a double layer of metal in the sides and my impression is that it's stronger as a result.Overall, this is a great security container. This may be a primary level of security, or could be part of a layered defense. Either way, the quality, construction, lock, design, etc are all excellent. I'll definitely consider their products if I desire another such product in the future.
