I actually really liked this setup and of course the price was great. I now have a AC Infinity, and this fan is more powerful than the AC Infinity. However, this fan is extremely loud. It sounds like you have an industrial machine in your grow room. Needless to say, I returned it and got a quieter fan. I’d suggest AC Infinity’s setup

I purchased the 48”x48” VIVOSUN grow tent with 2 lights and this fan/filter. It works perfectly and installs into the tent perfectly. Feels very durable and it is not too big.

I got the 6 inch and Ive done maybe 5 grows to where the fan runs 24/7 for months at a time. The filter last about 2-3 runs. Using it in a 48x48x80 on the lowest setting and that’s enough to sink in the walls. It’s not the most quiet on the market but it’s not loud either. On full blast it gets a little loud. I would recommend the product because I’ve had it for a while and it works. 1 con though, the lip that connects the filter to the fan and the fan to the ductwork is sub-par.

A little loud, but it moves a lot of air. So definitely worth it. It is also adjustable. We've had our for two years and it is still going strong. One of our best purchases for our tent. Works really well and keeps our area smelling fresh.

Suction power is excellent. Noise is not bad. Can watch TV or listen to radio no problem with blower going.

Pros: Overall build quality was very satisfying. Fan housing is steel and is fairly heavy for it's size. Included duct was of good quality (expected less honestly - pleasantly disappointed😁👍)The filter is huge. I didn't expect that. In all fairness, I just knew to buy the 6", I never looked at the measurements.I smell nothing outside the tent and I use fish emulsion (this $#!t sinks). It also has a potentiometer for speed adjustment.Cons: I had to cut a piece of wood to bolt the fan to because, while it does come with a bracket and nuts and bolts, it doesn't come with a way to hang it inside the tent. Also, the filter is bulky and a little heavy to hold overhead and hang by yourself. YOU'RE GOING TO WANT A SECOND SET OF HANDS (Yeah, you can hang it yourself, but if you have an anxiety disorder as well, just save yourself the frustration😤🤬👍)Only other con is the noise level. If the door isn't shut to that room, the fan can be heard downstairs and around the corner.Other than that, 10 out of 10 for performance. Would buy again if I needed another.

I used this fan for around 5 months. The first 3 months went decently well, the suction was great and noise level wasn’t too loud at the lowest setting. Then came month 4... the fan now barely works and makes the loudest noises I’ve ever hear from a fan like this. I’ve used other fans that can last up to two years with little to no problems. Just last night I heard the fan stop completely on it’s own and made a screeching noise like it was grinding. I checked the fan with no obstructions and tried to turn it off then back on, it’s barely working and EXTREMELY loud im scared it’s going to blow up or stop working when I’m not around for a few hours. Hopefully im able to get a replacement or a refund as I’m just hitting early flower and this is going to be a problem.

This Inline Fan was Super Easy to Install. It included Straps for the Carbon Filter and A Nice New Pre-Filter that fit it !!!The Inline fan does make noise but but not a lot. Vivosun also makes a Noise Reducer You can add to Your Setup as well. Then It would be Even Less Noise. But as is, it's quite manageable !!!Great for Beginners and Anyone Growing.Vivosun has GREAT Customer Service & Warranty department.I have this Setup to exhaust myVivosun 2.5' × 2.5' Grow Tent anda Vivosun 4" inline for intake of Fresh Air w/Carbon filter to filter outside Air Coming into my Garden. I have the Included Carbon Filter as well on the exhaust. As well as another one @ the end where I vent outside... Can't Smell a thing..I added a C02 bag & Vivosun Fabric Pots Now My Garden is Thriving !!!Also Not a smell one coming from my Tent except in the room holding the tent when I open/close the main doors. Other than that No One CAN tell !!!Just my experience though but it All Works Great Together !!!5 STARS ALL DAY LONGCAN'T BEAT THE VALUE FOR THIS PRICEA BARGIN @ THIS $$$

The fan and filter showed up as scheduled yesterday and I hooked it up yesterday and started running some tests. I started by running it at 1/2 speed for a while. I have a 4'x4'x6.5' foot tent in a room that is roughly 10'x10' in the house. I have the duct inserted into the tent and the fan sucks the tent air out and then blows it thru the fan and into the filter which then exhausts the filtered air into the room. So I am in effect filtering the room and the tent at the same time. The tent is closed up completely except for one air intake flap down low to draw fresh air into the tent.I did that test for a couple of hours to see what happens with the smell. I have an 8 bulb T5 fixture and all 8 bulbs are on and I have 2 additional 25 watt LED strips that fill in the area on either side of the fixture. Then I tried a different test with the tent wide open in the room and the fan on the lowest speed it all but eliminated the smell for me. My wife said she could still smell a bit so I turned the fan up to 1/2 speed and she was very happy a couple of hours later when we got home and there was no smell. The room and fan are right next to our bedroom and there was no noise issue and she never mentioned a smell once. It ran overnight in the closed tent and when I opened the tent this morning there was hardly any smell and the heat in the tent with all 8 lights going was steady at 30C or 86F which is a bit warm but the night here was very warm and there is no A/C in the room. After checking the room temperature I found the tent was 2 degrees Celsius warmer than the room which I think is great as there was no breeze or fresh air last night.... just a hot and muggy night. This is great for anyone who is growing in a tent like mine or in a room. I know I am using it a bit different than most people as I put it outside the tent and not in the tent suspended from the ceiling. I do this because it is a better way to filter the tent, create good airflow thru the tent (cool air in at the bottom and warm out the top) and also blows the air thru the entire filter so it uses 100% of the filter and not just the 20 or 30% closest to the fan. It also leaves me all the room for lights and plants.Final Thoughts - Great value for the small grower and the only thing they could do better would be to add a strip of the silver duct tape to secure the fan to the filter with but the way I have it hooked up, I don't detect any air leaks. Two Thumbs Up and a Great Buy

I’ve been running the 6” fan set up in my 4x8 tent for a month now. Over all very happy with the purchase. Easy to set up and is the perfect size unit for a 4x8 tent. Fan runs very quite... variable speed adjustment is great for different times of the grow.. personally I think it’s a great buy for the price.
