The clear corrugated panels are much easier to install if you first trim off the extra material outside of the last "cell" because the aluminum extrusions fit pretty snugly, which is good.Be prepared to substitute other fasteners for the wall brackets. wide head GRK lags work well. Would buy again.

The instructions are misleading (or maybe they assume their customers are constructions pros). This is not safe to be installed on hollow stucco walls

It looks nice and covers my bird feeder and cat window. I expect it will provide good rain protection this winter. 😊

It comes in pieces. It would take 30 minutes to assemble the first section (40 inches) and 15 minutes for each additional section. It comes with 6 screws for a solid concrete wall. If you happen to install it on such a wall, you probably would use an impact drive or hammer drill (although regular drills would also work just much harder). If you are installing in on other kinds of walls, you need to figure out a way to fasten it by yourself. In my case, it was a hollow stucco wall. So I managed to find two studs (you probably can find more. My wall is weird.) and installed two ledger boards (horizontal weight bearing bars) on those studs, with big lag screws. I used two 2x3 and you can use other sizes. Then use 6 smaller lag screws to install the awning on those two ledger boards. (seal and paint your wood, predrill holes, etc, which you probably should know.) Less than $10 for those 2 pieces of 2x3 plus some lag screws.

UPDATE........first mild windstorm and one side ripped out of the house, the other side bracket snapped. It is now garbage. Eould not recommend .It looks great and went together fairly easily, but the hardware included to fasten it to the wall is awful. They don't expand like they are supposed to. We threw them away and bought good ones. The panels are like a honeycomb plastic, so time will tell if it will last or not.

This really helps with the afternoon sun. It is very light and easy to put together by one person. But must have help when installing.

This review is for VIVOHOME Polycarbonate Window Door Awning Spliced Canopy Brown with Black Bracket 40 Inch x 80 Inch. The awning kit was delivered promptly, complete and as described by the seller. The kit contains all required hardware and a pictorial instruction booklet. My pool-heater has suffered several electrical failures over the years; the manufacturer claims that this is due to rainwater running off the roof and falling onto the heater which is positioned just under the eaves. I purchased this VIVOHOME Polycarbonate Awning as an option to protect the pool-heater. The wall on which it was to be mounted has shutters and ductwork in the area; I knew that a 40" awning would fit well and I was hopeful that I could modify the 80" awning for additional coverage. On inspection, I came to the conclusion that any such modification would compromise the structural integrity so I opted to install only one 40" section. The helper elves were otherwise engaged so I assembled and installed single-handed; it took about 2.5 hours total. Assembly was straightforward; inside the garage to reduce wind disturbance. Installation was more of a challenge but was achieved without incident. I used a bubble level for alignment and I am satisfied with the result. The awning is lightweight but feels surprisingly sturdy when fixed in place. There has been rain since installation and the awning is providing the desired protection; it is too soon to comment on longevity.
