Not easy to attatch to flue tile, really designed to fadten to crown. Kinda flimsy, but with angle braces in places, adequate. I have a few on hand as backup if i dont have any homesaver, which i prever

Be sure to wear the gloves because the pieces are very sharp metal. Also these weren't made to install on brick fireplace. You will need to make adjustments to get it installed.

I understand that the chimney is going to be out of View and no one is going to see it. However, it looks terrible. It's already rusting, and there are scratches all over the entire thing.... Super surprised that it got shipped this way.

I have the same complaint as most reviewers. There are no instructions explaining how to mount the cap on different size flues. There are instructions explaining how to assemble the cap, and there are gloves and a screwdriver, although the screwdriver is a bit wimpy. That said, the cap is very well made, and we figured a way to mount it that works. It has already endured some high winds (45+ MPH), and given the material, it should last a long time. It looks good and the price is reasonable given some of the other stainless steel caps I examined. At the end of the day so to speak, I am totally satisfied. If I needed it, I would definitely buy another one.

With it being stainless steel, it was very reasonablely priced. It's not super heavy duty, but it doesn't have to be. It's definitely strong, I just finished installing it . Looks nice, and should last a long time to protect my chimney.

I noticed some birds building a nest up in my chimney and needed to find a solution. This was perfect. Super easy to put together. Maybe 10-15 mins. The screws all go into rivets so it’s easy to thread and even includes a screwdriver. I used loctite on the screws so I wouldn’t have to worry about them loosening up and having to go up on the roof again to tighten them up. The top was protected by a plastic too and I’ll take that off after I install it on the chimney. But I’m quite certain I made a great purchase here.
