This HUGE bottle of stomach support was exactly what I was looking for and I am so glad I got to test it out!It was palatable, the horses actually liked it I did not ingest it personally ;p. The main horse I fed it to has acid reflux and ulcer issues and it seemed to help soothe his stomach and ease his discomfort. He was performing a little better, wasn't as cinchy. The other two horses I fed it to didn't have as noticeable of a difference but they didn't get it as much or have as big of issues with to start with. I wish I had given it all to one horse over a longer period of time instead of splitting between 3 horses.Overall it was easy to feed and made a small noticeable difference in the horse I needed it to! I would get this stomach support for horses again and would recommend it to others.

Vitalize Alimend Equine Stomach Comfort - Horses Ulcer & Gut Health SupplementHorses are very emotional animals. They can often have stomach problems brought on by any number of reasons. Unfortunately, you won’t always know there is an issue until it’s too late. Being too late can have unimaginable consequences. Horses get colic and most of the time; that can be a death sentence. I cannot imagine losing my beloved friend. I do what I can to stay ahead of the curve. Watch what they eat and when I find products I feel make a difference; have them here and ready so I can start giving them asap at the first sign of stress. Some horses are just more sensitive than others. What you can do to help is 1. Know your animals. Which ones are highly affected and which ones are not. 2. Feed only quality foods and Natural products. 3. Watch your horses and at the first sign of a problem... don’t wait. Have a plan and start them on it.I like the Vitalize Alimend Equine Stomach Comfort because the ingredients are backed by scientific research. No guessing here. It’s a natural based product too. It keeps the sugar down in the horse's gut which in turn keeps them from getting ulcers and doesn’t amp them out. One of my girls is super sensitive to any changes and gets loose stool really fast. We’ve been working on her confidence, but also watch her closely and any signs of distress, I will put this Vitalize in her feed. If we have any traveling or up her training, I start her back on this a couple days prior and it seems to make a big difference in her attitude and drive. Plus, she likes it. It does seem to level her stomach out pretty quickly.

I have a sensitive riding donkey that is a nervous Nellie. He is worried about every car, jogger, and cyclist that goes past his pasture. He can sometimes be cinchy and is often gassy. He will usually eat gut supplements for a while and show improvement, then stop eating them and I have to switch to get him to eat again. So far he has really liked this one, and cleans out his feed the way he hasn't ever done before, which was a surprise. I just give him one pump (15ml) a day in his soaked timothy pellets. He's calmer and seems a lot more comfortable. He'll now generally look at things going past and think about them, instead of just spooking and heading for the hills. There seem to be several preservatives in this, which surprised me as I thought preservatives would affect the gut microbiome?? But I don't plan to use it long term. I might cycle it in and out. So far the benefits seem to have outweighed any negatives, as I have only noticed positives.Five stars from me, I'll update if anything changes.

I mixed 2 pumps of Alimend in with my mare's food to test it out as she's pretty fussy. Surprisingly, she ate everything. Then Tonto, the gelding. He's really the one I got this for. I poured the same amount of Alimend on his pellets before mixing and I'm so happy ro say he ate it. He's been getting lots of meds lately and as a result, he's been getting suspicious of any new food I give him. That's why I'm so happy he ate his dinner without hesitation.Tonto was diagnosed with hind gut ulcers and I'm eager to see what this can do for him. I'm hoping it'll soothe his stomach. I'll continue to use this and will update this review if needed.

It's sometimes hard to tell if something is working on a horse. You don't know if the issue stopped on its own, or if something else worked...frustrating.But I've tried this on an older horse who's had to be on bute, and a weanling with diarrhea. Both of them ate it easily, and the older horse no longer was acting uncomfortable when eating, and the baby had normal looking droppings.Since the ingredients are all natural, and it has things like prebiotics, that makes it less likely that there will be any bad side effects if it ends up not working. So, either it will work, or it won't hurt. That's the best option to have with horses.I'm pleased with this, and I feel it's a solid 5 stars.

My horse isn’t typically picky but would not eat this at all. My pump got sticky and clogged easily, and I eventually gave up.
