I bought these for my two cats because I heard eating whole freeze dried shrimp can help cats clean their teeth. Came fast, packaged well and all but my cats just dont care much for it. One ate part of one and spit it out and the other just sniffed the air, interesting enough to wake him from his nap but he did not want to eat. I think they might be too salty/dry for my cats taste

2.8oz Freeze Dried Shrimp for Cats, Vital Essentials for Cat, Natural Freeze Dried Cat Treats, Shrimp Food for CatCats go nuts for theseMy kitties are crazy for these. You get a lot in the container. If you’ve lived on the gulf coast and been in a store with dried shrimp in those clear packs, this is the same thing but for cats lol. They smell exactly like the human version of dried shrimp. They’re a great treat for the kitties a few times a week.Highly recommend.

I give these a 3.5 star rating overallThese are very fishy smelling, yes. That's not a real problem for me as I'd be skeptical if they smelled mild. They're freeze dried shrimps. They gotta smell like shrimps. We have 4 cats. 2 who will eat these and two who will not. The two that ate these really seemed to enjoy them. Unfortunately, they started throwing up every time they ate these within an hour. There wasn't anything in the vomit but the shrimp, so I can't say it was anything else related. We decided to hold it off for a week, then try again. Same result which means our cats can't eat these. They are willing to, but something about it makes them throw it up soon afterwards. If you're going to try these. Start with a very small amount and see how your cat reacts.

My cat will not eat these. I've been trying to reward her with treats for years, she just refuses. I thought she'd like these since they aren't like the processed stuff you get at the grocery store. She didn't. I would have liked to keep trying, however, I simply could not get past the smell. It is so strong and overpowering. The smell seeps through the container and had my entire kitchen smelling awful. I put the container in a zip lock bag, the smell still seeped through. I gave them to my neighbor, who put them in a vacuum sealed container. She said it keeps the smell contained, until she opens it anyway. If you are set on getting these, be prepared for the overwhelming smell. If you are sensitive to scents, I'd definitely pass on these.

The strong unpleasant smell is not just fishy. It is a very pungent ammonia chemical smell right after opening. They can’t be edible even for cats. A big no no!

I have ordered other freeze-dried proteins for my cats many times. This product is TOXIC. It reeks and smells like formaldehyde + other chemicals. My 3 cats would not eat it. I would not trust this product. I will only buy pet food made in the US from now on.
