As a mom of a freshman JV football player, I wanted to ensure my son had the best protection possible on the field. The Barnett Visor Chrome initially seemed like a great investment. The visor fit his helmet well and looked sharp with its chrome finish. It also seemed sturdy out of the package and promised to protect his eyes from glare, debris, and potential impacts.Unfortunately, our experience with it fell short. My son used the visor for one game before deciding to remove it. While it attached easily to his helmet, he mentioned that the chrome finish created glare under the stadium lights, making it hard for him to see clearly during evening games. Additionally, he complained about a slight distortion in his peripheral vision, which is critical for situational awareness on the field.From a durability standpoint, the visor held up during that single game, but its performance issues made it unusable for us. As a parent, I was disappointed that it didn’t deliver the clarity and functionality we had hoped for. It’s an attractive product with good intentions, but it didn’t meet the practical needs of a young athlete playing under various conditions.I would recommend it for those playing primarily daytime games or who are looking for a visor with a specific aesthetic. However, for competitive players at the JV level or above, I’d suggest exploring other visors that prioritize clarity and functionality over appearance.

I don’t know if your Alberta or not but don’t buy this for highschool League football refs won’t allow if it’s to dark they said they had to be able to see my eyes and it’s pretty much mirrored this visor so

Had to use small zip ties to properly secure the visor to the Helmet. The entire guard needed to be loosened in order to slide in the visor.
