This is an all around great product. I’m very pleased! It has the wax melting thing and the scrapers and the pens. The fact that you get all the pen colors and wax colors is great! My dad’s going to use it on his dresser he chipped. I’ll post the before and after when he does.

I have laminate flooring throughout most of my home. I love it, but there have been a few mishaps that left the floor scratched and dinged in a few spots. This repair kit has been very helpful in patching those spots. There are multiple colors to choose and blend for a good match. It’s easy to use and looks nice. It hasn’t been long enough to tell how durable it will be, but it seems solid. If my opinion on that changes, I will update my review.

This floor repair kit was exactly what I was looking for. I am on the process of fixing up my house to sell and want to repair some small gouges so I don’t have to replace the floor. I got this set to use on lots of different wood scratches in my home. Our dining table is very dark, almost black, so I used the markers to dab the darkest brown and then a little black in top. Once I wiped it with a clothe the colors blended together perfectly. We have also used it on our floors to fix the wood that splintered. All I needed to do was rubbed the wax block on it and then rub it in with a rag and it worked perfect! I was worried the melted wax would be too much wax.

I bought this for some scratches on the floor when removing our old furnitures for our new ones. I also used it on our dining room table. There are a lot of options in this kit and they all worked well for me. The pens worked great on the scratches and technically the crayons do too. On my table there was a deep gouge so I used the putty to fill it in and waited for it to dry. Then I mixed the paint colors according to the chart and got a great color match. Painted over the putty and it looks like new. The set is easy to use and a great value for the money. You can do a lot of repairs with it.

Tried to make it match my floor but couldn’t get a decent match and I tried a few different combinations with no success and just so you don’t think I’m capable enough well Ive done all types of home remodeling and even had a detailing business for years and PDR work and paint touch up work, so I don’t know what to tell you but who knows maybe I didn’t have the right stuff or skills for it.

Had installed new laminate floors in our home, and within a couple of months, we have 2 chips that required repair. I watched some Youtube videos to find out how best to repair these chips. They recommended a soldering gun or one such as is included in this repair pack, as well as various wax pieces to melt. There are some really helpful ones that show people using this similar kit. I ordered it, and using the techniques taught in the Youtube tutorials, I ordered and used this kit. Now, within a minute or two, the heating element starts to have a slight smell, so what I have been doing is turning it on right before I begin melting the wax. I have everything ready to go in front of me. I don't keep the element on for more than two minutes. This is just an inexpensive item that is pretty cheaply made, so I don't trust that it will last a long time. I combined 3 colours of waxes together by just quickly touching the heating iron to the corner of the wax on each one and then I added it to the chips, repairing one chip at a time. After the height of the wax was built up slightly higher than the actual laminate surface, I used the scraper. It is literally indetectable. No one in our family can find the repairs. The great thing is that the wax is sealing the exposed MDF core of the laminate, so that will help to keep any spills from swelling the laminate flooring where the chip was located. I highly recommend this kit. I was so disheartened that our new floors had already chipped, but this kit has truly been a blessing. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the slight smell from the heating iron. With turning it on for 1-2 minutes, shutting it off, and then turning it on again when needed, it is still working. Perhaps nothing at all would happen if it was left on for a while, but I don't want to take the chance. It only takes about 15 seconds for it to heat up enough to melt the wax, so it's no big deal. This kit is great for this intended purpose, and even if the heating iron stops working, I will purchase an inexpensive soldering iron. Same thing, just they are usually made a little better. Also, as a brief mention, the markers have a good variety of colours and don't easily wipe off like some other furniture repair markers. I have tried them on our dining table set, and they work well. I'm happy knowing that any future laminate chip repairs will be easily fixed to new! Love this kit!

I looked at many kits on Amazon to fix a chip in my new flooring that wasn’t under warranty. The reviews for this kit didn’t seem to have many negatives so I bought it. It didn’t work too badly on the chip and I was able to blend it fairly well enough to not be too noticeable. I also had older floor that needed some repair and before I was able to finish it the heating tool stopped heating. It was coming on but I changed the batteries and it still would not warm up.The other issue I had were the colors. They were not the same as what they appeared in the photos on Amazon. Because it’s wax it was not easy to blend colors to get a good match.Overall it wasn’t too bad but the fact that the heating tool stopped heating after the first use caused me to request a refund rather than a replacement. I’m going to try a different product to finish my repairs

The handheld wax warmer that is comes with is so horribly made I was almost impressed. With 10 minutes of opening this garbage I was in my garage trying to solder and fix it.
