Not the heaviest wire but light and durable for many uses. It provide support without weight that should last a long time. The covering makes it easy to work with and the crimps make cutting easy. We have had rusting but the strength has not been affected. We use it outside. It is used in extremely harsh conditions and so far fits the need we utilize it for.

Use for a horizontal trellis 40 ft long looped from one end and back. 80 feet total. Was afraid it would stretch and stretch with the plants weight on it. Pulled it tight at installation and have not had to adjust

I keep my bird feeders well off the ground and use a pulley system to reel them back and forth to the deck for refilling the seed. Old single pulleys kept twisting on the narrow wire and getting hung up so I invested in this wider, vinyl coated wire--along with high quality tandem pulleys--and what a smooth system I now have. Have not seen any noticeable stretch in this wire and the coating really lets the pulleys glide effortlessly. Very happy with this product.
