Okay, so the clock looks good but I took two stars away for two major reasons. First the time piece is much cheaper than I thought it would be. It is literally a cheap clock you pull out and set the time then place back on the train. Second, the thermometer is only in Celsius. Those were the main reasons but I might as well add the quality is not the greatest either. It is made of plastic and came with no directions on how to set the time. If I hadn't been messing around with it for a few minutes someone unknowingly may never figure it out. The positive side there is a battery provided and it still looks cool, very retro you might see on a fire place of an old timer

For the price, I was expecting there to be more metal. The base is solid and heavy, but the locomotive is entirely plastic. It is a nice looking piece. Easy to set. Just a little overpriced in my opinion. It would make a very nice gift.

I put this vintage table locomotive clock in my son's bedroom. While it looks really nice, it is made of plastic and so feels very insubstantial. I was expecting this hefty item and it is super light. On the product information it indicates 3.93 lbs. To insert the battery, you pull out the clock face, and I appreciated that they had a battery hidden back there, ready to use, even though the description said no battery was included. The clock does make a ticking sound.

It has a certain charm. I can imagine this train clock sitting on a dusty shelf in Grandma's house, nestled in among old family photos and forgotten tchotchkes. But I'm sorry to say that it's also pretty cheaply made. "Vintage" it is not. It's all just flimsy plastic, including the wood-looking base. Also be aware that the clock and thermometer pop out of their sockets with distreesing ease. When I pulled the protective tape off the clock crystal, the entire clock and the ring holding it in place came out and landed in my lap.American buyers should also be aware that the thermometer displays Celcius temperature, not Fahrenheit.

This clock is kind of comical looking. Like Manga style or balloons steampunk. It's not really the look I thought I was getting.Also, the thermometer only reads in Celsius, there's no Fahrenheit marks.The resin is nicely formed and the finish is nice. It's a good size for a clock. The clock face pops out and the battery installs behind. It works fine.
