They don't show how shallow this handle isbecause it's not great-maybe about ¾" (19mm)Aside from that, it seems sturdy and looks fine.I will make some round wooden spacers andremount the handles to get another ⅜” so my stubby man-fingers can get a better grip.Too bad that all the "brass" handles i could findare all brass-plated steel, which will rust.

The product is being used as a pull on a screen door to our deck. The antique finish was exactly as represented online and it fit perfectly in the space it was purchased to fill. The only slight drawback is that it did not come with the four screws needed to attach it, and finding properly sized antique brass screws has been a challenge.

Bought the barrel bolt and then saw the pull handle. Ordered the handle and they came on the dame day. I couldn't be happier. I'm going to use them on a Dutch door on a Gypsy Wagon that I'm building.

Since it will be prominently located on my home's front garage door, I wanted one with an attractive design and to be able to serve as back-up when I might need to manually open the door. The antique brass has an visually appealing patina. Brass was too shiny. The six inch width and its size depth just right for getting a firm one handed grip. And this one allows for attachment with four screws. Those with just two would not be strong and durable enough for lifting the weight of a garage door. The screws that came with it, though, were too tiny for a reliable attachment. (This meant four and not five overall stars) A trip to the hardware store for four longer screws was required. Alas, I was only able to purchase shiny brass screws rather than matching antique brass ones. While that b others me, they are not that noticeable. But that aside, I thought the price was reasonable for its top notch quality.

These things are not brass!. I've tried tarnishing them like you would real brass but found you couldn't as they are made of some other type of cheap inferior metal!. DO NOT BUY.
