As a quick disclaimer, I pre-ordered this monitor (DC-X2) from the Viltrox website and have had it for a few months now. I'm leaving some words here for anyone considering purchasing this.I also work in broadcasting and have much experience with high-end monitors.Pros:-Great build quality. It has an almost all-metal chassis, and the screen seems pretty tough.-I/O. The device has pretty much every port you would want when using a monitor. It has both DC and USB-C in for constant power in case you can't/don't want to use a battery. There is a USB-A port that lets you perform updates to the device and upload LUTs. There is a headphone jack for monitoring audio (I haven't used it but I guess its cool). And finally, it has your HDMI in and out with an optional model that also has SDI.-Cooling. There are many vents around the monitor for passive and active cooling. The fans are very quiet but can be somewhat loud when put on max speed. Just don't put your microphone directly next to the monitor, and you'll be fine.-Screen quality. Not even getting into the technical crap. It's a great, sharp, bright screen that reproduces colors the way I expect it to. (It's a damn good screen)-Tools. It has plenty of tools for monitoring your video. It has really nice false color, live LUTs, markers, borders, focus peaking, you name it. There hasn't been anything important I've noticed it missing.-Accessories. Comes with a surprisingly high-quality monitor mount that hasn't let me down thus far. The hood it comes with is awesome. It's spring-loaded so that when you open it, it pops into place with no fiddling around. When done, it folds easily back in on itself and acts as a screen protector. Finally, it comes with a nice battery that can be charged via USB-C, which is super convenient. This does bring me to my only real(ish) complaintCons:-Battery Life. The 2200mAh NP-F550 battery it comes with is just not enough juice. I'm lucky to get more than 30min with it fully charged. Of course, the brightness plays a massive role in battery life, but I won't make the monitor hard to see just to save some juice. You should pick up a nice large NP-F550 battery replacement to get the most out of the monitor.Overall, as someone who has used MANY multi-thousand-dollar broadcast monitors, professional filmmaking monitors, and affordable amateur monitors, this is THE BEST bang for your buck I've come across. PERIOD
