First off, this is good quality carbon paper, provides exact replication and uniform traces. Compared to other similar carbon paper products I have used over the years, these sheets seem to be in the middle between the ones that take very little pressure to transfer (and as a side-effect also put a lot of extra shadows and even unintended lines) and the ones that require a lot of pressure, like the ones needing an H or 2H pen. This carbon paper works reasonably well with a normal, HB pen, and there is minimal extra shadowing from hand pressure.Call me old-fashioned, but it is second nature to me to use carbon paper to transfer images to wood from paper drawings and designs, sometimes with the paper as an intermediary, printed out from designs on a computer. Carbon paper is also great for copying patterns on thicker paper to make templates for clothes, if fashion tailoring is your hobby or aspiration. The alternatives to doing these things the old fashioned way, using carbon paper as I do, are more expensive, with higher investments that are hard to justify for a hobby: large size, specialized printers are quite hefty in price. Another alternative is paying for the service, but that introduces delays that could break the enthusiasm of even the most passionate hobbyist. Just my take on it – long story short, I have very immediate and good use for this stack of carbon paper. On the down side - not a defect of the product, a limitation - the size of these sheets forces me to stitch together several sheets for some of my needs, to cover a larger surface. Just the other side of the coin for the footprint these take: larger sheets would take a larger footprint on my desk, and would need rolling for storing which may degrade their quality faster.

My wife introduced me to graphite paper years ago, and it's quite a difference from office carbon paper. The graphite pigment is quite clean and easy to erase, while old-style carbon paper is a bit oily and tends to smear if you try to erase it.I'm not very good at judging the angles and proportions of lines, so I often like to sketch some guidelines before I paint. With this graphite paper, I can print a photograph and then use it to scratch lines to transfer onto my painting surface. Using this graphite paper, these lines are less noticeable in the final painting than if I had used a graphite pencil.
