If you are expecting a no maintenance, high end bicycle, you need to look elsewhere. This is an entry level gravel bike.The box arrived with a bit of damage, but nothing happened to the bicycle itself. Everything was intact and damage free, except for 2 cables that did not have ends and are a bit frayed. The other issue is the front tube/core was slightly bent. With a bit of tweaking, it works, but will need to be replaced. 2 things to take note of. 1, the description doesn't mention it, but this has Presta valves, not Shrader. Makes sense, but wasn't expected. You'll either need a pump that can do both, or the 2 dollar adapter. Number 2 is that there are several mentions that this is a factory direct bike and will need truing and tuning. This is very true. If you don't feel comfortable setting this up, take it to a shop. The wheels on this thing were a complete mess. Some spokes so tight you could play music and others wobbly loose. I did a simple DIY truing and it made a HUGE difference. Vilano quality control needs to be looked at. The read derailleur is a Tourney and needed minimal adjustment. It's not smooth, but works competently. The front derailleur is a Microshift and needed some time to get it adjusted correctly. Same goes for the integrated shifters. They'll need tweaking. Rear disc brake was fine and needed minimal adjustment. The front is a different story. I'm still working on that. It either rubs or doesn't provide acceptable braking. Seat was unusable and replaced immediately. It's about 1 1/2" narrow than my other big box store stock seat. One nice feature is the reversible stem. I pointed mine up which gives more comfort.At 30 lbs, this isn't a lightweight, but is still 10-15lbs lighter than my mtb. I've ridden this about 100 miles so far. It isn't the smoothest, but it definitely gets the job done. I'm a weekender/surgery rehabber and this fits exactly what I needed.

This is a great bike for the price. My first impression was that it is definitely not a high end bike, but once assembled it definitely feels like one.It did take some time to assemble and then tune. But once all that was done, I was riding my bike with no issues.The front tire came with a tube that was pinched and deflated about 3 minutes after I started the first ride. I contacted the seller and they promptly responded. They even gave me a courtesy call since I didn't notice they had answered. They sent me not one but TWO replacement tubes. They also sent me 2 spokes and a tool for truing since I mentioned one of the spokes on the back wheel was stuck and I washed it trying to true the wheel. Overall 10/10 customer service.You should take it to a shop for assembly and tuning unless you have time and experience like me to do it yourself. You will have to tighten the spokes and true the wheels, tune the disk brakes (super easy), and tune the gears (front and back, a bit more advanced but doable, you can even find YouTube videos showing you how to). Remember to buy some bike grease since the grease on the chain and bearings on the bike seems to be minimal coming out of the factory.All in all, if you are looking for an affordable road bike, you should consider this one. Switching gears is a breeze with the controls on the brake levers. The disk brakes are also very responsive. All in all a great buy so far.

I bought this bike for casual riding, didn’t want to spend bike store prices and thought this looked like a good deal. It has been a lot of work.The bike arrived with a broken spoke on the front tire, I replaced that myself because it didn’t seem worth contacting the manufacturer for a $2 part. Assembly was pretty straightforward but the brakes and shifters did require some adjustment. On my second ride (less than 10 miles total) the rear tube blew out. No damage to the tire or rim, so I’m guessing the tube had a defect.Overall this has been much more of a project than I wanted. The entry level bike store bike I rode was lighter, faster, and would have been set up by professionals. Probably worth the extra money in the end to buy from a store.

Terrible bike. Gears are janky, brakes wear out Quick and the most terrible company customer service. Will not answer to chat (on their website), phone calls or emails. Does not abide by warranty. The gear system completely locked up on me and they don’t abide by their warranty. A waste of money and time.

Purchased as a budgeted way of getting into bike commuting, has held up over the past month or so. I've crashed a few times and the brake hoods have held up, nothing has fallen apart. I've notably replaced the tire with wider 32mm gatorskins, improved the feel of the ride.

Good bike but one problem... It did not come with a drop handlebar, just a straight. I order one with a drop handlebar, though.

The bike rides ok on gravel but the is a bit narrow towards the front which makes it somewhat uncomfortable on long rides. The front derailleur does not change gears easily. I took it to a bike shop and they could not do anything to make it perform better.
