I got the bad for Christmas last year, I put it into use this spring. I only carried it on trips out of town, maybe 5-6 times all year and the handle came unsewn. For the price, I would recommend other options that last longer.

I wanted something for my daily carry. This bag keeps me from carrying too much. Sunglass pocket is enough for glasses but not with hard case. Accessory pocket keeps all of my tools organized and in place. Kinda wish stretch pockets had zippers. Main pocket has enough room for G19, two extra mags and a 8” suppressor. The bag also has two pull handles and four loops at each of the corners making it easy to secure to a plate carrier/larger bag or hang up. Overall the quality is and compact size make it perfect for me

I wanted something smaller than a typical backpack to carry around day to day essential items. This bag is just the right size and is comfortable to wear. There are 4 compartments to hold various items and the brush stroke camo pattern looks great. Currently it holds two spare magazines, spare contacts and a small bottle of saline, Apple charger and cord along with a USB C and mini USB cords, shears, tourniquet, head lamp, zip ties, lighters, couple of pens and a bottle of hand sanitizer. The strap is comfortable and there are two additional carry handles on the top and bottom of the bag. These make it easy to swing the bag around in front of you to access items. Great bag and worth every penny.

The bag is of decent quality. The velcro holster it comes with will not accommodate a weapon light. I have a Glock 19 with a weapon light and RMR, and the bag is too small to secure my pistol in any fashion that would give me a consistent draw. Would probably be alright if you have no attachments on your weapon.

This bag is bussin, IF you’re carrying a handgun. I love the design and size. With that being said, it will NOT fit a raider with standard mag capacity and an optic, unless it’s chopped; it’s about 1.5” too narrow, the zippers are about an inch too short, and the tip of the stock/brace will stick out of the zipper. That’s not a complaint, as I know the bag wasn’t designed for this specific setup. Id love to see a version of this bag specifically for the raider, but i don’t know how big of a niche that is.

Stays put and is comfortable.Quality pack, good zippers, good lining. User friendly design. Easy access. Just a hair too small, however I make it work.

The company proudly proclaims to be "Veteran owned" yet these bags are made in Viet Nam. Build quality seems fine yet after the very first use, the fabric on the backside of the bag is already starting to get fuzz balls. The padded part of the strap is about 8" too short. Consequently, the plastic buckle/connector tends to rest right on top of your shoulder or collar bone area, causing a painful pressure spot after hiking for a while. The ambidextrous feature is useful but necessary since the the bag needs to be cycled between both shoulders frequently to avoid the pressure spot. It does a fine job of carrying even a full sized pistol due to the size of the main compartment. The "one size fits all" holster is a joke unless you are carrying a micro compact pistol. I had to rig a slim pistol rug to keep my gun secure. Putting Velcro on a kydex holster would seemingly work as well. For the price you pay for the Viktos name, the holster should be better. Summary: the bag sort of works but is not worth the premium price due to the inadequate shoulder pad and holster. It's also disappointing that US veterans are not actually involved in the manufacturing of these bags.

They have improved this sling to the point that I had to re-buy it! I Really love the bag now and it is my new go-to bag for day to day. I will mention my other go-to bag at the end. Really I would say this is one of the best lighter use EDC bags I have come across.Pro:1: The strap is now padded and comfortable2: They removed the Molle webbing on the backside which makes it more discrete, was in a place I would never use it on the old one.3: Useful storage compartments. My use for this one is light carry.4: It will hang nicely off one shoulder, my other go-to sling has a padded strap that does not allow this so it is all on or not at all. This one you can cross body or hang off one shoulder.Con:1: The pocket for "glasses" is not useful for glasses and the zipper is still a pain to close all the way because of the shape of the pocket, still useful but not for glasses. Think Keys, flashlight, etc2: Wish it did not have the "Viktos black arms company" text on the side, totally gives away the use of this bag but with the midwatch colorway you can't really see it at all.Another bag to consider would be the 5.11 LV8 Sling bag. That is my other go-to bag. It is a little larger than the Upscale 3 and really more comfortable for hours of use. My use case for the Upscale 3 is literally day to day use. The LV8 is now just used when I will be wearing it for hours at a time.I had a v2 bag and liked the layout of the bag but the sling itself would cut into my neck. I didn't care for the Molle webbing on the outside either because it was in a place I would never use it and it kinda gives the bag away as a "tactical bag".Image shows the 5.11 LV8 in black and the Upscale3 Midwatch color. These two bags make for a good range of use. Beyond these two bags, I would just go with a backpack.
