Horn mugs are a unique and stylish drinking vessel that harkens back to ancient times. Crafted from real animal horns, these mugs offer a rustic, natural aesthetic. Each horn is unique in shape, color, and size, making every mug a one-of-a-kind piece. The organic nature of horn creates a visually striking and textured mug. Horn mugs can be used for a variety of beverages, from beer and wine to mead and water. They can also serve as a unique decorative item, adding a touch of rustic charm to any space. To preserve the natural beauty of the horn, it's recommended to wash it by hand with mild soap and warm water. Avoid using harsh detergents or abrasive materials that can damage the horn.

I’ve been wanting something like this for use at the office and it’s definitely a conversation piece! It seems to have a slight odor but I’m actually using it for a pen holder. The handle could be larger, I’m an average sized female and if my hand was bigger it may not fit comfortably. There are some rough spots on the handle and top edge, perhaps just natural flaws in the horn? I think it’s an attractive enough thing, not sure I’d want to drink from it though.

This mug is small in size but I like the quality of it and how unique it is. The reason for the 4 stars is because this one had a small pin size hole it that was leaking. But overall the mug is really nice quality.

This is a nice addition to my horn mug collection. The horn is beautiful and the wood looks nice as well. I would have to echo a few other reviews in that the wood could use another pass or two with a finer grain sandpaper (it feels like they called it good at 80 or 120 grit). I might finish them with a finer sandpaper later, but for now it is fine. Mine holds about 12 oz. and I have not noticed any leaks yet. My other horns are closer to 16 oz., so having a slightly smaller one is great! One concern I have is potential leakage in the future. There are a few spots around the horn/wood interface that are not completed sealed (at least visually from the outside) so I am going to add some super glue to the joint to act as a caulk, just in case. Overall though, I am satisfied with this, especially for the price. If you're a Viking or medieval enthusiast, or just want a mug like this, I would certainly recommend this one!

I got this because I really loved the way it looks - and I have a son who is into Viking history and I knew he'd love it. But then it got here and I had a chance to hold it and that just blew me away. You've got to hold it to truly appreciate the workmanship that goes into making this mug. It's smooth and somehow feels 'alive' in your hands. My son was thrilled with his gift.

I didn't give my husband a lot for Valentine's Day. But he loves Vikings and Viking stuff, so when I saw this horn mug, I thought it was a win. I didn't open it but let him do it, which was unfortunate, because he found a 1" plus straight crack going down the vessel a little distance from the handle. It extends from the top "drinking" edge, down. The mug is a little small to drink from anyway, but he said because of the long crack, he will use it as a display item with the rest of his Viking stuff. I'm bummed because I should have checked it before gifting, but did not. It arrived in a plastic shipping bag (not a cardboard box, as you might expect) and the mug itself was wrapped in a thin bubble-wrap cover. Don't know if this damage happened during shipping or because of the crazy cold we've been having in the Midwest, as it sat on our porch for about 2 hours before being brought into the house. Either way, it's a bummer for me. I feel it should have been packaged better, but am not sure when/how the damage to the mug occurred. So my message is, be wary and check your item before you gift it! Otherwise, obviously an animal horn and not plastic, so that aspect of it is cool.

Shipped poorly. Poor quality. Not worth the price or the hassle

I really like the look of this Viking Horn Mug and thought it would be fun to enjoy a beverage from a handmade Ox Horn. Unfortunately, there was a smell from the horn so I washed the horn and the smell was still there, I soaked the horn and the smell would not go away. Finally I decided that this horn would best be used as a unique pen holder instead of a drinking vessel. Just to mention, while cleaning, I did not notice any leaking and the horn seems to be a very good quality ox horn that would hold a decent amount of a beverage. Overall, this is a fun drinking vessel that can hold a decent amount of liquid and is priced reasonably, even though we decided not to use this as a drinking vessel, but as an unique pen holder instead.
