I can't tell any difference in image quality between 1080 and 4K. Also, if you have it on 4K, it only records 10FPS versus 30FPS on 1080.

UPDATED 2-14-2025: They are the best I've owned compared to over a dozen other models I've used and/or tested over the years. Works great day and night. Consistent workhorse and better than expected battery life. Have been using two for over a year to monitor wildlife activity and just purchased my third. The only Achilles heal is fog/condensation but sometimes I can still figure out type of animal. Another positive is that they have designed this so that even though it holds a micro SD, you still have enough sticking out to eject. I've owned other trail cameras that were impossible to eject. This company is excellent.

I bought this to capture video of who or what was devouring huge areas of some artificial grass. Its still a mystery as to discovering the perpetrators. Some how we have not caught the little buggers, but we have videos of an Opossum, a squirrel, our dog's late night potty break and the neighbor's cat pooping in our yard! But I digress. Everything works great and batteries last a long time. The monitor screen could be a little bigger, especially when trying to read the time stamps.Picture an sound recordings are topnotch for real. Very happy and a great value.

We were having issues with people trespassing in our yard and I didn't want to spend hundreds for a camera security system (Sorry Best Buy). So I did my research on YouTube and watched reviews in this camera.Very flexible with its settings for both picture's/ videos and the infrared lighting works great and it basically invisible at night. The cammo pattern on the camera helps it blend in with the tree and it's actually hard to see unless your looking for it...after dusk it's basically invisible. It comes with a 32GB micro SD card but I put a 128 GB card in it...works like a charm and I may gat a second one as well. I will post actual video and pictures from it tomorrow.5 Stars from meCyrilOntario, Canada

UPDATE: After five months running it, I've set this camera up about 9 or 10 times and let it run. It has worked correctly maybe two of those times, and the photo quality when it has worked has been awful. In most cases, it has taken anywhere from 2 to 10 pictures and then stopped. Sometimes, it will just get me walking away from it and nothing else, when I've watched animals walk in front of it, and I've walked in front of it again myself. Sometimes, you don't even get that. I've tried every suggestion and every trick that I've learned in nearly 30 years of running trail cams, and this thing is just garbage. I regret buying it.I've owned and used a lot of trail cameras over the years, going back to the 35mm days in the mid-1990s. This one definitely isn't the worst that I've owned, but the quality is more akin to cameras that I owned a couple of generations back than the ones I use today.I was looking for a less expensive option than my current preferred brand, which costs about twice what this Vikeri costs, and I saw quite a few very good video reviews of it online, so I decided to give it a shot. The camera arrived nicely packaged. On removing it from the box, I thought the construction of the case and the latches seemed to be of a lower quality than my other cams, but that's to be expected at this price point. On the positive side, the seal around the door seemed to actually be better than my current cams, which was a big plus since I was buying it to replace a camera that had been ruined by moisture. The first surprise that I ran into is that this camera uses a micro-SD card, so if you have standard SD cards for your other cameras, be prepared for that. It does come with a cheap no-name 32gb to get you started. The second thing you need to know is that the camera is finicky with the formatting. On the first card run, the data on it would not read on any of my devices. I reformatted the card in my computer, but when I put it in the camera, it said the SD was invalid and had to format again. I accidentally moved the switch to off instead of on after that, and when I turned it back on, it again told me the SD card needed to be formatted, even though I had just formatted it in the camera seconds earlier. The menu is not completely intuitive, but not awful either. I did notice that on the setup screen, it always says the camera is in video mode, even when you have it in photo mode. I was worried about that, but it worked according to my settings rather than what it said. I also suspect the screen will not last long, as only a week into owning the camera, I'm already seeing some distorted lines along the top and bottom in the menu mode. The bracket that mounts the camera is also a little strange. Rather than running the straps through part of the camera body like others I own, there's a plastic bracket on the back of it, rounded to fit the tree. It probably works well if you use the straps to mount directly to the tree, but I use screw-in mounts, and the way that it's positioned makes it awkward and bulky for that. Finally, there's the picture quality. Daytime pictures are not bad, but night pics are pretty awful. They're very grainy and distorted compared to my other cams. Part of that can be attributed to the no-glow flash which never has the quality of IR flash, but I don't think that's the complete issue.Ultimately, I guess, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a budget camera just to show you what's in the woods, this will probably work for you (though I do have concerns about how long it will last, especially the screen which is already giving me problems a week in). If you prefer higher quality pictures, especially at night, I'd look elsewhere.

ES DECIR CUANDO LA CAMARA TOMA MUCHAS FOTOS SOLO PUEDES VER 13 FOSTOS Y LUEGO SE CONGELA LA CAMARA, NO SE APAGA NI CAMBIA DE MODO. HAY QUE RETIRAR LA BATERIA PARA QUE VUELVA A FUNCIONAR. EN POCAS PALABRAS. NO SIRVE

I have eight of these cameras at present. They are very easy to set up and install. I like all of the options like photos, short videos, the lag in between shots, etc. The pictures are beautiful. We actually got our cameras because we have a neighbor who likes to trespass and harass. We now have cameras all around our fence lines that border his property. We have a farm and there is no way to use the cameras that need Internet and send pictures to phones. The distance is too great. So I bought these instead. They work wonderfully as far as deterring our neighbor, and we have been enjoying the wildlife shots. Night vision obviously is not as clear as day, but I can always see what’s happening just fine. The batteries last a very long time. I put eight of them in. I bought 32 GB cards (they do come with cards, but I bought extra so I can switch them out; never leaves the camera cardless) and have never come close to filling one up, and I use the highest resolution. I can go a couple of weeks without checking the cards and they are still not full. In very extreme weather, and I mean VERY— as in we had sections of metal roofing blowing off of our buildings and received 5 inches of rain in two hours— I did have two of the cameras get water behind the lens and where the lighting is. One of the screens even fogged up. However, I set the cameras in the sunlight and they dried out and there were no problems at all with the cards even though they got wet. These are simply excellent cameras.
