I got this to add more ports off of an OTG SD card reader adaptor, but that 8 pin lightning did not support any adaptors off of the USB port that is built in. But it did work for the 8 pin lightning to USB 3.0 (single port) with no SD card reader function. It will work on computers, Android (with debug on) and apple with accessory port on, via he charger port adaptor or OTG (on the go) that is the charger port to USB. OTG basically converts the charger port to USB and hosts (powers) and allows data. Can easily run mice, keyboards, flash drives; hard disk drives, cameras etc.

I’m definitely the type of person that likes a nicer keyboard with the numbers on the side and an actual mouse instead of a trackpad. I was looking for something that would allow me to do a combination of these things without me having to connect via Bluetooth or have too many cables or too much clutter about.I somehow came across this on Amazon and it’s great because it takes up one USB port but allows me to connect three USBs and one type C cable with the use of just one USB port. It was super easy to use. The design is very nice and sleek, it is rotatable so it doesn’t take up too much space. I love that. It was so easy to install. it’s literally just stick in and don’t worry about itIn terms of value for money, this was great, it does exactly what I needed it to do without breaking the bank. And it works so well I started recommending it to everyone in the office.

Price is great - plugged in USB 3 three USB port splitter and it worked instantly (no real surprise I guess) - no messing with cords - 3 convenient USB 3 ports (for my new wireless Amazon mouse and other things) so I've got extra ports on my USB hub for plugging in USB memory sticks and external drives. I was considering getting a corded dual USB splitter which would be great for some things but I really like this plug in 3 USB 3 port splitter - heartily recommend it.

I bought this a while ago to add USB ports, primarily for power, and for the SD card reader. USB works fine. Just tried the card reader today. My laptopn recognizes there's a card in the reader but returns a device error whe I try to read the card. Moved to my desktop and the SD card was read perfectly fine.If you want extra USB ports, this should work fine for you. If you want a small SD card reader, this may not be the solution you're looking for.

All of the ports were (eventually) able to be plugged into, although I did have to force two of the regular USB ports with plugs that go smoothly into ports on other devices.The quality feels incredibly cheap, but for the price it’s only a little worse than I expected.The rotating capability is neat - if it was able to maintain a secure connection to the laptop. Depending on the angle, the weight of the device would pull the plug slightly out of the port and my devices would all disconnect.The biggest issue for me by far is the false advertising that the USB-C provides charging and bi-directional capabilities - such as you would expect from a USB-C port. I can easily plug into the port, which is better than can be said for the regular USB ports. However, neither does it charge my device nor does it allow for connecting my laptop to an external monitor for dual-screen functionality.The main reason I bought this device was the combination of extra USB ports while also full USB-C functionality. All of the ports eventually were registered by my laptop as having something plugged into them - they just didn’t work in the way I expected.Don’t waste your money or hopes on this.

OK for extending USB ports. but doesn't work in a Honda Civic, so I'll be returning it. The item itself feels sturdy, but the rotation mechanism is very cheaply designed. You rotate it and it loosely snaps back, as if it wasn't really made to turn. The diagrams are misleading and this shouldn't be a selling point at all.
