  • The regulator in this kit does not often fail. Thus, the GMA-03 kit contains the rectifier and other parts. The appropriate replacement regulator is available separately for when it is needed. See GMA-03-1 or GMA-03-2 for the regulator for your CS series alternator. The two regulators for the CS Series alternators are not interchangeable. Check application information carefully.

Despite advertised as direct for for my 1992 Chevy S10, one of supplied bearings is the wrong size. This despite being a know issue for literally years, according to reviews. Also directions suck. Very poor, and incomplete directions. Must use youtube for proper installation instructions. Also a known issue for several years. Other than that, seems to work, at least initially. Haven't had it installed very long. Also kit incomplete without regulator. Should have this as part of the kit.

These parts are quality and it contains everything you need to get your alternator back up to speed. I can't recall exactly what happened now but I was able to get the kit installed but because of frailty of the alternator associated with just being so aged, I wasn't able to successfully repair the alternator back to 'running well' grade. As mentioned, I just can't remember the specifics. I do know that I ended up just trashing the alternator however and had to buy a new one anyway. I think you might due well if you have a really old alternator...mine was off of a 1995 vehicle which I'm sure may have been changed at some point but.....it might be a good idea to just go ahead and just buy a new one, if age is a factor.

As stated by most reviews the bearings were a different size than I needed. Not sure if there are differences between the same model. Voltage regulator is not included but with the extra parts it was roughly the same price as the cheapest reman alternator I could find.

There is two different bearing front bearing sizes for that type of alt, needed another part

Rebuilt my alt. and kit worked for me.To complete you should buy a regulator which is cheap insurance and keeps u from messing with it again for a long time.Alternator is charging like new again.

Only problem with this kit is that the rear (small) bearing wasn't as wide as it could be. Otherwise, its a great value compared to buying a refurb alternator from the parts store. Especially when the parts store refurb alternators have pretty crappy solder joints. Instructions were pretty good but I didn't use them as the YouTube videos concerning the CS-130 rebuild are fairly self-explanatory.

Kit is ok, front bearing was too small for my 95 alternator. I ended up ordering a bearing of appropriate size (larger bearing (6303-2RS Bearing 17x47x14 Sealed Ball Bearings)) and replaced it, just didnt have the right size clip to hold it in place, after pressing the front bearing in you are supposed to install a steel clip to replace the OEM ridge that was holding the old one from moving out of place. I hope it holds, otherwise the kit is pretty good......

the alternator repair kit works great. the only issue i had was that one bearing in the kit was not the same size as one in the alternator. therefore only one got replaced
