This machine is an updated version of the one that I have had for 25 years. It's the best

The keys just don't feel right. Feel like I have to pound them to connect, the older one was very easy ... almost felt like my mechanical keyboard, all the way down to the cupped keys. The cupping on these keys is more shallow. If I could fix the cents column on the printer of the old one, I'd switch back. I do like the larger display.

I worked as an accounting clerk for over 22 years and I never heard of this brand before. I recall using Sharp. I liked that the other reviewers said they've used this brand for a very long time. I'm retired now but still have an occasional need to add up some numbers when I file my income tax returns. I like the key action. This machine feels real solidly made. I also like that it has a ribbon. I had a machine with one of those ink rollers one time and the ink roller dried out. So I got a bottle of ink and thought I'd just ink up the roller myself. My recommendation is to just get a machine with a ribbon and then just change the ribbon as needed. Buy once and buy right.

Seriously, do people read these? It's a calculator people it can add, subtract, divide, multiply and spits out tape if you want it to...just to prove to people you are not randomly smashing keys and giving them fake numbers. Yes it is comfortable to use, but I would think if it was more painful to operate then actually HAVING to use a calculator on a daily basis that no one would ever use one in general. It's not overly loud, it makes great calculator calculating noises which most people treat as white noise and don't even register as hearing. If it made BEE-DO BEE-DO sounds more office violence would occur world wide. Oh you DO plug it in just in-case some person is wanting to walk around with a dinner-plate sized calculator you can not do that with this. So 5 stars for doing the thing that it's designed to do well but not having the ability to play games on it like the calculator I needed in high-school (which by the way I NEVER needed a graphic calculator in the "real word" Mrs Johnson so you can just suck it).

Seems to be good quality overallPros: Good visual led readout, Good number placement with very responsive feel. Easy load paperCons: No cartridge ribbons (really, the cheap ones have cartridges, hate my fingers black & red) Has the 2 1/4 paper instead of the 2 3/4 paper so everything seems to be smashed to the right Item count only seems to work if you hit the N button after entering the last number and before hitting the total button. I cannot figure out how to put this function permanently. Has many many funtions, as a CPA I will not use, just needed a heavy duty adding machine

Bought this to replace another Victor that finally gave out after 16 years. The keys are smooth and printing is fast. No problems with the paper jamming or the ribbon coming loose. The screen display is bright and easy to read. Very pleased with this calculator.

I have used Victor adding machines at my office jobs since 1978. Nothing compares to Victor for durability, fastness, and ease of use. My co-worker watches me add numbers at a rapid pace. So easy to do with Victor. When my old Panasonic went out at home, it was simple to chose a Victor to replace it. Great job Victor !!
