Looks like it works as expected. Came in a super-small package so I was a bit nervous that everything was not there, but it was. Happy that it fit my grandson (3-years)

A friend's daughters both got into roller skating, so I got them these pads to use while skating. They are cute enough that they like wearing them, and they have already saved them from more than one scraped elbow or knee. Quite happy with this item.

We got these for my four year old who likes to roll/fall around on roller skates.Measured his lower and upper arm and both measurements were on the lower end of the sizing chart image measurements. The straps are too long and stretch too much for these to be used safely. The straps stretch enough that they realistically cannot fasten to the strap itself because if it does, the elbow pad is far too loose. When sufficiently tightened, the velcro part of the strap stretches to be around the hard plastic part of the pad (like in the picture). Does not seem safe to use it this way.It can be mitigated a bit by crossing the straps in the back of the elbow pad (like you would to keep knee pads from slipping/sliding), but I do not think that would be very comfortable for a 4 year old.All of that said, I would add about 3/4" to the lower end of the sizing chart for the elbow pad. I'm thinking I might reinforce the straps a bit and run a few stitches through them to shorten the length. The hand and knee guards fit perfectly. The plastic is HARD, as it should be. He likes wearing the set because it makes him feel safe. Or as he would say when I rapped him hard on the knee, "Hah hah! You can't get me!"
