This HEPA filter is excellent, collects very fine dust. Used my old paper filter for 20 years in garage. Now using it in my house after cleaning my 16 gal shop vac. Works great on my tile, hardwood and laminate floors, better and cleaner exhaust than my vacuum. Surprised at the low price, it is easy to clean, appears to be very durable.

I mainly use my vacuum for fireplace cleanup, and you have to have a really good filter for the ash. This one works awesome, catches the smallest particles, and no odor. Very happy with the purchase!

I have a fifteen + year old 12g / 5hp rigid wet vac. I was on the original filter and had delayed getting a replacement opting to bang the filter out in myback yard. It worked for many years with lighter use of the vac but the particles started caking within the vains and i am sure it was losing effficency. I found this filter and read the reviews.The filter is solid feeling, same if not sturdier than what came with the vac originally. Works fine.Also, I learned from the reviews and online vids about using various filter socks which go over the filter helping prevent larger chunks from entering the filter. I searched around and bought a pack of pool scum filter socks (wife say's, "why are you buying pool filter equipment, we don't have a pool?"). Bought the cheapest pack on here. It was a little small to fit over the filter all the eay so i cut a second one up into a tube- both ends open- as oppossed to a sock and use two on the filter, the tube up higher on the filter covering the portion one did not. I just shake it off every now and then between full cleanings.I also bought an exhaust filter. See my review /others' reviews for fitment and solutions. Older rigid's apparently dont work with many of these so some easy mods can made to make the exhaust filter fit tight inexhaust port and work, helping with noise and exhaust dust.This filter is great and would rec.

It was definitely time for me to replace my old filter that came with my ridgid shop vac. I had previously rinsed it off at least 3-4 times and reused. This last time I decided to finally retire it and get this filter. Seems to work well. Installed the same way. No funky smells coming through as I’m using it. My old filter was getting gross and I could smell whatever was getting sucked (pet fur, drywall, etc) up through the exhaust on the vac. The new filter is doing its job though and should last me for a while.

Liked the fully formed molded rubber ends.Bought 3, so as I washed , and dried the dirty ones, i had a spare dry one to use
