This is a pretty decent shop press for the home mechanic that is doing occasional light to medium duty work. I have used it to R&R the shafts and bearings on commercial lawn mower spindles, straighten a slightly bent shaft and repair some misaligned clamping tools. It worked flawlessly in those applications and will be a great addition to my shop. Also, its compact size and modest weight make it easy to move and store. On the negative side you must tighten the work beam down securely in order to keep the legs from being wobbly. This prevents you from quickly & easily adjusting the height up or down on the adjustment pins. Also, Vevor would be well advised to include longer and better quality fasteners with the press, many bolts are barely adequate and some are too short. Finally, I’m a little concerned about the relief valve on the bottle jack which feels a little wonky and takes a lot of force to fully close. Hopefully it won’t start leaking down when under pressure. All in all it’s still a good value for the money and I would purchase it again (along with some better nuts, bolts and washers).

For years I have been hunting a small press for my service van. This little guy fits neatly out of the way when not in use. I work for a company that services commercial food equipment and I occasionally have to work on machines with press fit bearings. I have used this vice three times since I purchased it and I have been pleased with its performance. I have pressed bearings on two Hobart band saw lower pulley shafts, and this last week I tested it on one of the more difficult pressing jobs I've ran into, the removal and repressing of the bearings on a 1532 grinder. I did feel like the grinder bearing was pushing the limit of the press, but right about the time the bottle jack seemed like it would take no more, the bearing finally popped free.If you're in the market for an actual shop press (for use in an actual shop) then I'd probably invest a little more money for a larger press, however if you are working out of the back of a van or truck, then I recommend this little press. I can't do everything, but it can get you out of a pinch.

Es macht was es soll leider haben sich die zwei unterlegplatten schon verbogen was aber nicht so schlimm ist. Das einzige was mich richtig stört die Füße könnten etwas länger sein wenn man z.B ein antriebswelle auspressen will.

Got the press to help with my C3 restoration. The box was open from the end so parts fell out. I opted not to send it back and took Amazons, discount. I really wish I had sent it back. Besides the missing parts which I can get at Home depot or hardware store this thing is short and not built very well. The center piece that gets all the pressure kinda just sits in between the uprights with loose bolts if you want to be able to adjust it freely up and down when you need to. What ill wind up doing is putting spacers between the support to be able to tighten the bolts and give me free access to adjust it up and down. I think it will do what i need it too, but i should have sent it back and went to Harbor freight and purchased the 20ton for 50 more bucks.

bought this to press out some control arm bushings, should have probably got the 12 ton instead. bushings were within its operating capabilities and turned out fine but it struggled with lower ball joints. pressing out, there was a bit of a violent pop that ejected the jack completely from the frame, catching me off guard and only narrowly avoiding injury. pressing ball joints in however, was a more fiddly matter. it was unable to provide enough pressure to force the new ball joints straight in on center, the overload bypass works. i was able to overcome this by working the edges in a circle pressing a little at a time until about 90% in then returning to center to finish it out, at near max output of the press it was able to make the last bit in a violent pop to seat the ball joints. the orange paint is not a permanent coating to protect the press, it is merely there to indicate if you have used it at all as it flakes off on contact with anything. the 2 pieces of black plate it comes with are very convenient that they are included however will bend permanently well before the 6t max is ever reached, i suggest getting thicker plates if you plan to use this regularly. actually, i suggest getting a 12t unit if you plan to use this at anything close to it's limit. idk what the parts are all called so i'm going to go with deck height adjustment pins. those are fine, the holes in the frame that accept the pins though, not particularly skookum, all wallowed out already. hell, the deck has a good sag to it too now. so while it seems to be engineered to survive the forces of the 6t jack it's built around, i can honestly say it only just barely does that. this is at best hobby quality, for home light duty use, dont count on it lasting a week in a commercial workshop and is priced accordingly. do not attempt to put any larger jack in this frame, it may just kill you and if you want it to last forever it might be better suited to maybe a 3t jack. so while my results were sub optimal, i know i was asking too much of this tool and my experience with it is my fault. except the paint, the paint could be much better. so weighing all things here, i'm giving this 5 stars overall not because its a great press, it isnt, but because it is exactly the $97 worth of press i paid for and it did what i asked of it when i should have bought $167 worth of press.
