THERE ARE SEVERAL THINGS I HAVE COME ACROSS WITH THIS HOSE REEL THAT I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU BUY THIS. ORIGINALLY, I GAVE THIS A 3 DUE TO POOR DESIGN ... AS YOU CAN SEE, THE FEMALE TUBE FOR THE FRAME IS ON THE BOTTOM WITH THE MALE TUBE INSERTED INTO THE TOP THEREFORE ALLOWING WATER TO COLLECT IN THE UNDERCARRIAGE, POSSIBLY CAUSING IT TO RUST AWAY. I HAD TO ADD TAPE TO (HOPEFULLY) SOLVE IT ... MOST LIKELY TEMPORARILY BECAUSE THE TAPE WILL DRY AND NEED REPLACED. AND NOW, AFTER USING IT FOR ONLY A FEW WEEKS, THE PIPE THAT THE REEL CONNECTS TO THE WATER FEED STARTED TO SPRAY WATER. ACTUALLY, THE PIPE THAT TRANSVERSE THE REEL CAME OUT OF IT'S HOUSING EXPOSING A RUBBER SLEEVE - THE BRASS NUT CAME LOOSE AND THE WATER PRESSURE PUSHED THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY OUT OF IT'S OUTER SLEEVE. I TRIED TO PUSH IT BACK INTO PLACE WITH NOT LUCK. SEE PICTURES I HAVE ADDED TO HELP CLARIFY MY CONCERNS / PROBLEMS WITH THE OVERALL DESIGN.

This hose cart is very well made, and easy to assemble. The only shortcoming ( in my opinion ), is the light weight. I plan to contrive some kind of a temporary anchor system.

I bought this to use with 150' of 5/8" garden hose. The cart is top class, but the assembly instructions were horrible, but at least the spelling and grammar were good. It took me almost three hours to unpack and assemble the cart. Placing the winding handle in front was a main reason for this purchase. The included hose to connect the reel to the spigot is plenty long so the cart can be moved away from the building. Had the instructions been more clear which would include an expanded view of the parts labeled to be able to see precisely where the parts need to be joined -- I would have given this product 5 Stars.

Leaking instantaneous once water turned on. Wanted to return but I’m in Hawaii and I already cut up the box for recycling. When I removed the supply hose, I noticed that there were no seals. It didn’t leak on the spigot end but it was a geyser on the hose reel end. I used a hose seal and the leak stopped. Metal quality seems flimsy but cost appropriate. Somewhat dissatisfied.
