Opened the box it looked good. Dumped 20 pounds (40 cups) of rice in. It filled the pot to where there wasn't enough room for recommended water. Maybe Chinese measure diffently. Capacity is closer to 40 cups if lucky. Cleans easy as the holo pot dumped out.

As you can see my pictures, I needed to cook 30 cups of rice the day I received this cooker. I didn’t care to read the manual properly as I had to get it going due to a trip next day and I had very little time. In my mind, due to the description of being able to have 45 cups of cooked rice, I should be fine with splitting in 2 cooks for the amount of rice I needed. Pictures of the 1st try were from 18 cups of rice. Since I had in my mind this thing would fit 22-23 cups of rice (uncooked), I decided to start with 18 cups (just in case). You can see the results from the pictures attached. Since I needed 30 cups, after cleaning up all the mess, rice wasn’t cooked properly, I then tried 12 cups. No difference. Made the same mess, ruined my day and took me about 8 hours of cooking which usually takes me around 3 hrs. Not to mention 30 cups of wasted rice. Clean up was a nightmare. Be aware that this pot, at least with the rice I used, will not cook more than 10 cups of rice. If that is all you need, then it should work for you. If not, do not buy it.
