This Gel Nutrient is great. We needed to put some weight on our cat and I have been putting a scan tsp. in her food for about a month and she has put on some weight. My vet recommended it!

Personally I use 3.5ml syringes to deliver it into the cats mouth so they aren't ingesting more fur to eat it & make sure they eat it. Set it in a warm spot for a bit to make it gooey & works great.

Would never use anything else as a supplement or provide dog if off food. Fabulous product and would not recommend anything else.

This product is a must for toy breeds and infirm dogs. The slow releasing action of the molasses is a life saver.

Noticed a difference in my cat within the first week. Was giving her a small marble sized amount mixed in with a tiny bit of warm water to melt it, and then mixed into her wet food each meal, for about 3 or 4 days. We went to a family member's house and I forgot it, and within two days noticed that she was less interested in her food.Went home to get it and her appetite picked right back up. I truly believe this has been a contributing factor in her staying as alert and active as she has been, while she's been sick. She's an absolutely tiny little thing that cannot afford to lose any weight, so having this available has been great.Be forewarned though, open it with the lip end upwards as it comes out and it's sticky as honey and gets everywhere hahaha. I open it upwards, then tip it over her dish and use a toothpick to cut it off and then tip it back upright and re-cap it. Otherwise you get strings of it that fly around, like you would with honey.

This really has kept our two month old toy poodles going - boosted their little bodies.Easy for them to like the sticky stuff from our fingers.

This is the very best high calorie supplement that i have found for my black lab. it works, she loves the taste, I put a big portion on a spoon and she will lick it away. Her coat looks shiny and wonderful as well. She has no diarrhea at all. It so easy to use and the cost isn’t bad at all. It a great way to supplement more vitamins and calories at the same time.

This is Alfred. He is our 15 yr old kitty, and we love him like he is our son. We noticed he was starting to lose weight, and had something wrong with his mouth, so I took him to our vet. Vet suspected dental infection so Alfred got an antibiotic shot. We got Alfred home, and he tried eating. He ended up spitting out his top right fang!! I had ordered the nutri-cal, so I would mix his dry Friskies with hot water and a tablespoon of nutri-cal to kind of make a slurry he could eat. It worked!! His appetite is better, his energy is better, and he is starting to put weight back on. I have it on subscribe,it works.

I bought it for my two elderly cats. The fussy eater loved it but the male only sniffed at it. I believe it helped with the females appetite.

We adopted an 8 year old Sphynx in poor health. He was thin , a fussy eater and had vomiting issues on and off since he was a kitten with no issues found . My vet wanted to start from the beginning so started with a deworming , not a great start. The medication made him worse and he lost a pound in a week and was eating very little and that was with constant encouragement. He dropped to a little over 5 lbs and was just skin over the bones . He had done this a few years back according to his vet papers. Tried this product at night , the next morning he was ravenous. He now wants to eat everything in site, and several times a day. He will steal the dogs food tries to steal ours , we can't keep him full. It won't be long before our boy gets some meat back on these bones .... Results were immediate, I was doubtful but I strongly recommend this if you have a pet who has a poor appetite.

Does this product work? Yes, wonderfully! My cat is 14 years old and gave up eating (don't know why, we have a vet appointment in a few days, but had to wait awhile to get it) and was losing weight by the handful every day. Started her on this for a few days and now she's back to eating pretty well, almost to her regular amount. Is it easy to use?? Nope. Not for me anyway. I had to use a syringe to get it into her. Wrapped her in a towel so just her head was exposed and did it that way. She hated it, but it's better than the other option (a dead cat from not eating). Is it messy?? Very. When she fought me forcing it in her, she'd turn her head quickly and the goop would go down her face, chin, neck, wherever, but luckily I had thought of this before hand and had a warm wet wash cloth on standby just for that. Though she still has places on her fur, where it didn't come all the way out. (Again, having a messy cat is better).Does it taste good?? Noooo!! I'm not a cat, so I can't speak for them, but,, yes, I tasted it. Just the tiniest of licks off my finger from the new tube. To me, it tasted like old dead fish, (it does contain fish oils so it stands to reason). Would not recommend trying it yourself though.Would I recommend it?? Yes, absolutely!! Be prepared for your pet not liking it though. Some love it, while others won't touch it. If you *NEED* to force it into into your pet, make sure you absolutely need to and know what you're doing and how to do it. This can be very dangerous if a pet gets it down the wrong way and it gets into their lungs. And do a little at a time.I swear this ,goopy stuff saved my cat. She'd been a little off her feed for a few months (after my younger cat suddenly died of cancer). I didn't think too much of her gradual weight loss because she was pretty plump anyway. But when she started getting bony, I knew something had to be done. I thought it was just a matter of feeding her more, but when she refused, I thought of Nutra-Cal. So glad I did, and that I didn't give up when things got messy.

So I had a litter of 5 kittens and they were dying back to back and I was heart broken so I was down to my last two babies and the mom stopped feeding and they stopped eating and i wasnt about to lose anymore babies... I needed help I reached out to my local vet and they recommended me this and given me two tubes and when I tell you my kittens was sick and was border line this brought them back it helped them grow and kept them nourished they turned out to be healthy babies I'm telling yall this story so if you ever get to that point and don't know what to do and are new to nursing kittens or puppies from one to another this changed my life and helped my babies fight to keep there's I hope this helps you all and I recommend if you ever run into rescuing babies even if they look healthy buy and give it to them so you don't come to any point of risks and if you don't know how to feed them the small syringes one a piece for each kitten I filled up to full and gave it to them every 2 hours with the formula and even when they went to soft food still given it to them I didn't stop pulling them back from it till they reached hard food and they will take it easy they absolutely love the taste ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ the babies in the photo the one on the left (black) and right (white) are living proof and are the ones I'm talking about in the story I even given it to my middle baby too anyways I hope this helps you like it did me ❤️🐈⬛️🐈

I really do not write reviews on products from Amazon but this gel works great! I have an older american bulldog/pit mix who stopped eating, became listless, and i was worried maybe I needed to put him down like maybe this was time. However I wanted to try something to seeif it helped before that route. At first i had to force feed this to him. I would put a blob on my finger, lift his lip, and wipe it on his gums and teeth. Within hours there was noticeable improvement. Appetite increased and gradually improved to back to normal! I stopped use and things were fine. This week, some same symptoms emerged. Used that gel and this time he ate off my finger no issues. Back to normal. Helps perk him up and back to eating his food. He is a picky eater and picky about supplements so this is a total win.
