My dog requires TRT (testosterone replacement therapy). The 27 gauge needle is in my opinion the perfect size for both drawing the oil up into the syringe and injecting it intramuscularly. It takes a little bit of time for the oil to flow, but i feel it is a happy medium from a comfort perspective for my dog while injecting. The half inch length is deep enough for dog glute injections if adequete pressure is applied. Overall my dog is happy with the syringe
