Puppies really didn’t like too much. But it did the job. Good price

Great milk replacement for my puppies. This also works well as an addition to puppy gruel. When my puppies are at the age they can start having gruel, I mix some of this replacement in as well. I always keep some on hand.

I can’t say anything to the taste but this smelled like the usual brand I purchase. The puppies seemed to like it as did mama. My dog had 9 puppies so we supplemented to take some pressure off her. My puppies are healthy - no complaints.

Unfortunately my dog wouldn't go for this product. I had hoped because she loves milk but I know dairy isnt the best for dogs. She just won't even try this. Multiple attempts each time she goes over and sniffs it and basically turns he nose up at it. Now she is a Shih Tzu and has been known to be a queen and very picky so not sure I can fault the product or not. Hence the 3 stars because the product did mix and reconstitute well so if you're dog likes it, it is probably a great choice. For me though sadly it isn't. I'll contionue my search to a viable alternative for her that she will accept. :)

I wanted to try this product out, as a liquid supplement for my animals, and I gave it a taste, before I tried it out, since I'm reviewing the product. It doesn't taste a thing like milk, although it does smell a bit like a protein shake. It has a characteristically rich color to it, and it's easy to make; just mix it with water. I'm sure that animals would enjoy this type of product in their care and nurturing environment, it must be good for them.

Appears to have very good and important ingredients. I seem to have either a litter of kittens or puppies at least once a year that need to be bottle fed for one reason or another and I will be glad to have this on hand when I need it. I am currently weaning a kitten and she loves this stuff!

We have an elderly small dog with some joint issues and a fickle tummy. Sometimes, the supplements we use that contain carrier oils (like hemp oil) can randomly upset his stomach. I saw this supplement, and as a dairy-free supplement, it has several key vitamins and other ingredients that allow us to dial back some of the oil-based supplements. It's an easy-to-administer powder. Ours didn't come with a scoop (unless it's buried in the canister), but we have plenty sitting around. It's a very soft powder, not grainy. It clumps easily, but the clumps come apart with a shake or tap. It stirred into our doggo's food easily, and he really liked the taste. I almost had to stop him from eating too fast.It is high in crude fat and crude protein, which is important to note before giving it to your dog. Our pup is a small breed, and he tends to graze and even undereat so obesity has never been a problem. Things that help with some weight gain or consistency are good in moderation. But it's not just weight, as overdoing it with crude fat can be bad for a dog's pancreas and other GI stuff if given too much, too frequently. That caution aside, which can be said about any supplement (make sure you read the dosage/serving instructions and don't overdo it), I am happy with this supplement. Given the large volume relative to the small serving sizes, this container will last a long time at our house, and I think the $23.39 ($17.99 sale) price at the time of writing is very fair, whether on sale or full price. If we run out, I'll be getting more of this same brand.
