Came with holes in the material that looked like they were melted. To top it off, if you touch it, it instantly scratches and looks awful. This is pure junk

I bought this to cover the top of my smooth and slippery top workbench. The back is sticky enough to prevent sliding and the surface texture is a soft foam. Tools aren't sliding around when pushing on screws and such. It does scuff and tear some if sliding sharp objects. So far I like it. I covered a 5 foot wide bench.

This is a great mat. It's a good thickness and the material is durable. I have used it for several different projects and so far it has held up well.

This worked well for my purposes. I built a wall-mounted work bench that folds down when not in use. I put this on top because I wanted a smooth surface and didn’t want to do a ton of sanding on the surface, or pay to use a higher grade wood. This works well for my occasional purposes. This is not a thick mat and I would describe it as spongy…like foam shapes used for kids crafts. If you are really trying to protect the surface underneath and are working with heavy or sharp items, you will need to take extra care. I also noticed that when it is folded down, the corners of the mat started to come away from the surface. It seemed to be related to the heat in my garage. So, would probably work better on a flat surface. Overall I’m happy with the results, but know I will likely need to replace it in a couple of years.

I used it to "resurface" my home office desk and like it alot! It's got a little give to it but i have a writing pad under my keyboard and mouse so it works out perfectly for my needs

They didn't mention the self adhesive backing so it was a nice surprise.
