Produit au top, la qualité est excellente.Comparé à la mienne en sapin qui est glissante est les angles trop saillants, on sent clairement la différence de toucher et d'accroche.Cela doit jouer sur le long terme pour les éventuelles blessures.Seul le prix est un peu élevé ce qui m'a fait prendre la moins chère alors que le besoin aurait été la "normale".

Belle qualité de bois pour cette "poutre" d'escalade, petit format (2 niveaux, de 20 à 45 mm de profondeur), agréable au toucher (polie sur les plans inclinés du dessus) et livrée dans un carton et sans plastique. La seule contrariété réside dans l'installation et particulièrement dans le choix de l'endroit ou pouvoir fixer ce bel objet qui ravira les grimpeurs : les vis profondes de 5,5 cm nécessitent un mur épais et la poutre doit être fixée à un endroit accessible et dégagé (aussi bien au dessous, qu'en dessous, mais aussi sur les côtés) donc principalement au-dessus d'une porte dans une grande pièce. Ce qui limite en pratique les possibilités (nous n'avons d'ailleurs toujours pas réussi à trouver l'endroit où l'installer pour en profiter pleinement). Bien se poser la question de la configuration du lieu avant achat, mais hormis cette contrainte, l'objet est soigné et parfait pour l'entrainement.

This YY Vertical Climbing Training Hangboard strikes a great balance between being somewhat minimal and subtle mounted over a doorframe while also providing a lot of different ways to use it and gain finger strength. The poplar looks great and is a perfect choice since it is a hardwood but has a soft feel and a subtle look.It comes with all mounting hardware included and is easy to install into the wood header over most door openings. It sits proud from the wall 2" and will clear up to 1" thick door trim without obstructing use of the loop for the band. The product is very nicely made and the product packaging is really nice so it would be great as a gift to a climbing enthusiast. It looks nice mounted over a door and is a little more subtle than other similar boards.The only downside of this is the raw wood is natural and beautiful, but does get dirty with extended use. Of course, being natural wood, you could sand it or even stain and finish it if you want, but the wood feels nice on your hands so it is a tradeoff that I think is worth it.Overall if you're looking for a basic hangboard in a natural wood material that gives a minimal look while offering a lot of functionality, this is a great choice. Whether you're a beginner or someone with more experience, this is a really worthwhile product and a great design that will last for years. Highly recommended!

I wanted to a small hangboard for the longest time, that I could put over one of my doorways. I attached a 2x4 to the studs on the wall and then attached the hangboard to the 2x4 over a doorway.It works perfectly, it helps me in my training and in being my goofy self at the same time, the wood and piece are rock solid, the upper hold is great for newbies and the more advanced finger holds in the middle are great for finger strengthening with the 20, 25 and 45mm depths. There's a middle that you can attach maybe a rope or a long elastic band to help you, so that's a nice option, though one I haven't tried.I love that the edges are smooth, no no splinters or hang wood that might hurt me. The construction feels as once piece and the cut outs are just done correctly.Highly recommended for an experience climber as well as someone new to the sport. It will be the practice you need when not at the rock gym or bouldering in the wild.

This is the second product I've gotten from YY Vertical, and at this point I'm pretty confident in saying that anything they make is going to be well-crafted, strong and durable. Ain't nothing flimsy about this fingerboard. Pocket depth is all good. Easy to mount. Just really solid, especially is want to change up the tactile feel from your typical molded holds.

Compared to some other budget hangboards, this feels really nice on the fingers with rounded pocket edges. The pockets are all on the deep side, hence intended for beginners, but it's fine if you are adding weight too for intermediate climbers. They say there are little wooden pocket inserts to make the pockets shallower, but I can't find them to buy.I like the slopers, which are uncommon for a small form-factor hangboard.Also I appreciate that there are lots of screw holes for robust mounting.

This hanging board works well. I've been using it for practice and the wood feels good to the touch. I also like the variety of the edges. Would recommend!

I mounted this training hangboard to a floor joist in my basement. It's sturdy and mounted easily with six screws. I had to use a scrap piece of wood as a back plate because the screws were a little long for my joists, but that probably adds to the support. The instructions call for a screwdriver, but I recommend something with a motor. If you use a drill you absolutely must have a bit extension. The screws are pretty deep in the narrow finger slots.Once mounted, I was naively surprised that I could only hang from the deepest finger slots. I have a ways to go to build my finger strength (I'm a complete beginner). This will help me get there! The wood is perfectly smooth and there's no risk of a splinter. I liked this so much that I ended up ordering another one for my brother.

Seriously, the folks who designed this did such a good job making this pretty. It's just nice to look at. Add to it a great place hang out, something every climber loves to do, and you have the perfect hangboard! I have a few hangboards from the years, and while this one won't weather the elements like other rock climbing grips & boards will, this one has all the holds & depths you'll want to train your hand strength. You have pocket depths of 20, 25, 40 & 45mm, plus 2 jugs & 3 slopers. It also has a place for a band to mount around the center hold, tho I would recommend exercising caution for the potential of a crotch line hitting wrong.You can also modify the pocket depths with 10mm magnetic inserts ...that weren't included. This feels like a price point issue that someone in marketing insisted be plan. Either that, or they couldn't take delivery of them till later & this is a Star Wars Christmas present situation. But when you do inevitably buy them, they can be mounted to the sides for easy storage when not in use. This is my only real complaint, but as want the depth, it's not an issue & not a dig on 5-stars.Mounting is easy, as it comes with everything needed, tho as nice as it is, I would have preferred torx screws for removal of the board if move to a new home. Again, it's that pretty, you'll want it around for a long time
