Maintains long term durability and flexibility, and will not harden, shrink or crack. Forms a tough, flexible silicone rubber gasket that resists aging and weathering. Works best on silicone, cork, felt and rubber gaskets. This black, waterproof, low odor formula is non-corrosive to steel, iron and aluminum, oxygen sensor safe, low volatile, non-toxic, non-flammable and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) approved. Tensile strength of 275 PSI, and temperature range of -65F to 450F (continuous); -65F to 650F (intermittent). Resistant to automotive oils and fluids, Mega Grey is designed for high load conditions, with the closely spaced bolt patterns found in import engines.

Worked perfect on my wife’s 2011 Nissan Sentra transmission pan. I originally used a factory gasket seal that leaked because a few of the transmission bolt threads were partially stripped. My time was sensitive, so I figured I could either sprint to the store and get a tap and die set, and try the process over again with a new factory gasket. My other option was just use RTV and tighten it as best I could. I went with tbe RTV option. I have to admit I made a stupid mistake in that I only thoroughly cleaned the transmission pan surface, and not the transmission surface (where the bolts attach) it was being mated to. For the next few hours I dwelled on my stupidity, but still had optimism. After waiting for the proper time to cure, it worked out. No leaks, thank you Lord 🙏🙏

Never had a problem with the VersaChem clear silicone so I bought 2 tubes of the 3 oz Mega Grey to make some gaskets.After 24 hours it was still soft and gooey. Wasted a lot of time cleaning up the mess and ended up doing the job over from scratch.Unreliable, waste of money. NOT recommended, avoid at all costs.
