Used it twice, once per end. Tried with aluminium and it plugged horribly. In steel it bent the bottom of the cutter support, both ends are now bent a d useless.Also invested a lot of time to make a holder for this tool, couldn't find a parting tool holder to hold this as it is taller the holders I have can manage.Should have known better. U get what u pay for!

I was shocked at the quality of this product! I needed a parting tool in a hurry, so I took a chance on this one. It fit my Iscar holder perfectly, I made 6 cuts on 1” steel round. I only used 1 bit. Very impressive!

Worked fine on my first use on aluminum. The aluminum gummed up a bit but some wd-40 took care of that problem. It will not go as deep as another grooving tool holder I have so may not be suitable for any deep grooves or parting off. It only would go about 3/8" deep and my other one will go over 1/2". the description did not give a length for the depth. If you need a longer one, look around for one the gives the depth length.

This tool worked great on the first few cuts. Then I cut a part where the cutting forces caused the tool to bend downwards under the insert causing a permanent deformation and causing the insert not to be properly located. The bar seems to be made of ordinary carbon steel and it bends easily. It should have been made from a hardened, stronger steel and the problem would probably never occur.

I have used this cutter and it preformed well. Problem was that the size of the holder was between the sizes thar I had to mount the cutter. When I looked for a cutter holder that would work I could not find one. Therefore I had to make my own. Check that there is a holder available that works for you.

I have a Haas CNC lathe which I use once every 2-3 weeks to cut bushings from DOM tubing. This parting tool works fine for the loose tolerance parts that I cut with it. I'd definitely buy better tooling if I needed precision.

I'm still on the first insert. Mostly cutting off aluminum and soft steel. It worked great. But I think the tool steel is way to weak in the area in photo.I had since late January 2021. Its says I have a 1 year warranty. Can not find any contact information, is this by design??? I sure would like a warranty replacement for the other 9 insert.Thank you. Larry
