I had this delivered to a sick friend, whose temperature was quite high and needed to be monitored. I checked the reviews for a lot of thermometers, and this one had the best reliability reports. I personally don't fully trust digital style health monitors, but they have become so prevalent, one must keep up or shut up.

I feel like it works best if you use the thermometer in your mouth compared to the armpit. I think it does work well because I did have a fever and I did it twice to make sure and it was still the same number. When I went to the hospital, the temperature was the same as when I took it at home. I do recommend,

So far it seems like it really does take about 60 seconds for a reading, or at least for oral mouth readings. It also comes with its own case for easy storage. I was surprised how extremely lightweight this was. Comes with LR41 battery already installed. You will need your own covers and the standard thermometer cover fits great.The only smallish thing I didn't love was that if you aren't sick, the thermometer will not beep to let you know it's done. Instead you have to monitor the screen to see if the temperature stops flashing as it will only beep above or below 100F. It's a bit hard to see the screen when you're taking your temperature so it's a little annoying.

Easy to use thermometer. It reads my temperature fast and it’s very straightforward to use. As far as I can tell , this thermometer is very accurate. Perfect price too because it does its job for a low cost.

My previous digital thermometer broke, so I decided to try this one. It works as advertised and as expected. I was a little thrown off when it gave me a reading of 97.9 so i thought it was malfunctioning. However, after Googling normal body temperature, apparently 97.9 is the average. It arrived well packaged with no damage.

This Veridian Healthcare Digital Thermometer displays temperature in both F and C, and while not as quick as some thermometers these days, the economical price and accurate reading, along with the fever alert, are great selling points for this thermometer. It comes with a carrying case for safe storage/transport, and is small enough to fit anywhere. Great addition to my home medicine cabinet.
