This was a great product, but I could only give it a 4 star because there is no finish, it is raw wood. Being something for chicks that poo all over everything, it would be much easier to sanitize with a clear sealant on it. Also bare wood tends to dry and split. I'll have to finish it myself. On the plus side it's ready to paint if you want to personalize it. But for only $10 I can't complain too much.

These were PERFECT for our brooder. The babies immediately used them and even today, our girls use them to lounge. I posted a photo for reference.

Sturdy and smooth, chicks loved it. My only warning is to make sure you don’t put it too close to the brooder wall (one chick was trapped but I caught it in time). Easy to clean with soapy bleach water.

Easy to put together. Helped the chicks learn to balance. They also used it to gain access to the upper level as they grew. Isn't easy to clean, though. Takes some scrubbing under hot water for a while. Even after a soak in Epsom salts.

I think my chicks would like me to write a review— they love this perch! Our chicks are 6 weeks old and they utilize this perch regularly. We left it outside yesterday when cleaning the brooder and it was a lot easier to clean once it was rained on, so it takes a bit of water to clean. That said, it is very sturdy, looks good especially after cleaning :), and has been used daily for weeks. Also, it was easy to put together and we have not been concerned about the screws. Thankful for a solid, affordable perch.

It was delivered on time, very quick and easy to assemble, and looks exactly as pictured.I only have 2 chicks, but they seem to really like being able to hop up and all over the perches. I’d definitely buy it again.
