I had cervical spine surgery a month ago. The doctor wants me in a hard collar for 3 more weeks. : (The one provided by the hospital is unbearably uncomfortable so I looked for an alternative. This collar is way nicer than pictured. It's lightweight, minimal, and has the same level of support as the bulky collar with more padding. It's a lifesaver!

This is suitable for only lightweight support of the head, forward and back. No sideways support. The chin support is badly designed and does not support the chin adequately. Tightening the neck brace strap added backward pressure from the chin to the jaw. It was easier or better to adjust the angle of the chin support before wearing the brace.

Well, as comfortable as possible when wearing something like this. Has enough padding and flexibility that it doesn't dig in if you bend too far, for example. Good adjustability to find a comfortable position.

I like the front jaw/chin support. This fits well. The adjustable angle also works well for the most part (could be more secure holding the angle). I don't like the piece in back. Even though adjustable for height, the back piece is not comfortable or effective for me. I think the foam on the back needs to be thicker for better support and comfort for the back of your neck. I may try to cut up one of my old neck foam braces to replace the back piece on this one. It does make me wish I'd bought the inflatable version. Might still return this and try the inflatable version.

I'm not sure it would work well for everyone, but it is great for me. Much better than the plain neck support s without plastic. It was a bit tricky to figure out, but once set up, it is no effort to put on and off. I bought another so I have a fresh one when the first is wet from walking perperation. I have had one cervical fusion and have significant arthritis in the remaining joints. Hopefully I can put off having further surgery. After three days of wearing this brace, my pain is tolerable and I can do more housework and yardwork tasks.

The settings were strong when the chin holder was set too high and too low. The two middle settings, which most people (including me) would find the most appropriate, were worn down and slipped.

Great for stability. Holds chin and neck in position. The openness in the front is allows your neck to breathe and perfect if you have had surgery.
