The laces on my NB shoes [7 eyes] finally gave up. I have hated the OEM laces because they are too long and even double knotted would come untied several times a day. I decided to take a chance on these 57" hiking shoe laces. Huge difference, they have stayed tied all day for the last 2 weeks, and since I ordered them 8" shorter than the originals, I can knot them normally without having both loops and both tails dragging the ground. These laces matched the look of the originals nearly exactly and look great on the shoes.

It is always tough to guess the size needed for the elastic as each mask hits a person's face at a different point. This allows the wearer to adjust it as needed. The package stated "about 100". I had 98 and that was close enough for me. The black ones were very slightly shorter than the white ones (about 1/4 inch difference). The stretch is good. It is flat and easy to sew across (unlike the round corded ones). They are very comfortable on your ears. I have not tried them on young children but will do so tomorrow. If needed, I will adjust my review.

These are nice, just wish they were a bit a longer. I will look for longer ones. I am using these to make adult masks for my family. I thought these might work better than the elastic because my husband wears hearing aid's and when he takes his mask off he always pulls out his hearing aid's. !st time it happened he almost lost it coming out of a store. Thank God he noticed it right away

I have several family members that I am making mask for. Trying to cut regular elastic and have them fit each individual was problematic. I really like the quality and softness of the bands but some were not equal in length. So instead of cutting them to equal lengths I just lined them up and put a mark to make them equal. I then inserted the band ends into the mask and lined up the mark to the edge before sewing them into the mask.

These are of course a great idea to provide flexibility and more control but I like them a lot more because they are so easy to sew with. The traditional elastic loops are little challenging to sew with as it requires keeping it stretched and aligned correctly while sewing but with these, I can just expand them, sew quickly and then adjust the length by moving the bead. Why is this sewing help important? Coz I am making masks in volume and any minute saved is a huge deal for me :)

My 7 year old despised the idea of wearing masks but when I made him some with these, there were often times he would forget he was wearing them and try to eat or drink LOL Will definitely purchase again if needed!UPDATE: I have ordered these a second time to make more masks and they hold up very well! I wash the mask and hang them to dry so the heat doesn't ruin the spandex in them.
