Its what it claims to be. The ceramic is kinda rough to the touch though.

I was on the hunt for a smaller size teapot warmer and found this little beauty. We recently had a power outage and I was desperately trying to find a way to keep my coffee warm (I mean, what’s worse than lukewarm coffee lol?) I have an electric mug warmer but, no power, no mug warmer. The warmer is beautifully made and the copper look grate design works perfectly for my purposes. Others I tried have a larger center hole that would be fine for a teapot, but were just too big to support my mug.One thing to note…the finish on the base is not glazed so is not entirely smooth. When I opened the warmer, the three little silicone “bumpers” (see arrows) were installed under the grate. This seemed odd to me so I moved them to the bottom of the warmer so they would provide surface protection for wherever it sits. The grate sits perfectly in place without them.So glad I found this little gem!

It does a good job of keeping the tea warm for longer. I used a tea cozy before and it only kept the tea warm for maybe 30 to 40 minutes. This keeps it hot for a couple of hours but the candle needs to be new. Once it burns below the half way mark, the warming time is reduced.

It's like a heavy ceramic pottery, better quality than I expected. It works great!

I’d like it better if the heat didn’t cause the supporting grill to revert to a silver color instead of remaining a bronze color. Also the ceramic is rather rough. I definitely have to put something under it to prevent scratching.
