This pump works well, I have it pumping the condensate from my hot water heater; it is pumping it up about 7 feet and then across my basement to a drain, it works fine and is quiet and easy to install... I have used other ones that have indication of where the water level is which I prefer having but again, this does the job.

This is a clone of the popular pump made by a different manufacturer with the same model number. However, this pump has just a 4 foot power cord (even though it is advertised as 6 feet) whereas the original manufacturer's pump has a 6 foot power cord. It is preferable to avoid using an extension cord with a pump so be sure measure the cord distance that you'll need before purchasing this unit. Advertising a cord length that is less than the advertised length is a material misstatement of fact so I am going to have to limit the rating to 2-stars.UPDATE: After I wrote this review, the seller updated the description to state that the unit has a 5 foot cord, which is reasonably close to its actual length, which I measured as about 4 1/2 feet. The manufacturer's warranty for this pump is only 6 months, which is rather substandard. Most pumps are warranted for 1 to 3 years. This pump is made in China whereas the original is made in Mexico.Other then the above differences, this clone pump seems to be okay, but time will tell.

Replaced an existing condensation pump. This pump is the same configuration as most models and replacement was really easy. Put tubing in new pump, placed on the existing shelf, plugged it in and replacement was done. Very quiet. Pump goes on automatically when water level in the bin reaches a certain level and lifts the water up....... Nice product.

Not as hard to install as I thought. And it is pretty effective as well. Glad I bought it.

The VCMA-20ULS 80 GPH Automatic Condensate Pump was a perfect replacement for my old AC condensate pump. Installation was straightforward—simply connect the two switch wires to the AC with wire nuts, move the drain and hose from the old unit to the new one, plug it in, and it is up and running. It worked flawlessly and efficiently, handling condensate removal from my air conditioner without any issues. A great choice for replacing or upgrading your HVAC condensate pump.

Good pump, it's heavy and has a powerful motor in it. You only get the pump, no hoses. You have to provide drain line for it. Cord is also nice and thick.I'm using this for my on demand water heater to drain condensation to the floor drain. I was using a hose into a bucket and dumping that every few weeks gets old. This pump is the same as the more expensive brand name pumps commonly called Little Giant.

Since I just installed a new forced hot air house furnace and whole house air conditioning system in my house, I also decided to install a new automatic condensate pump to handle the excess discharge of water from my furnace humidifier and the condensate water from the whole house air conditioning system too. The Nipike, model # VCMA-20ULS Item #554425, is a1/2-gallon rectangular size container that has a condensate pump in it and that automatically handles condensate water discharges up to 80 gallons per hour and up to 20 feet vertically. This black and white solid hard plastic body condensate pump is 11” long by 5” wide and 7” high and comes with 6-foot grounded electrical cord and it operates on standard household 115-120 receptacle voltage. This condensate pump activates automatically when incoming condensate water reaches a specific level in its pump container, and it automatically stops pumping when the condensate water is drained out of its pump container. It also comes with a separate built-in automatic appliance shut “off” switch, when it is hardwired to the furnace if you wish to use it and when it is activated during a pump failure, it will turn “off” the furnace in order to prevent additional water from coming into the pump which would overflow its container and damage any items left on the floor near the condensate pump. Personally, I decided not to use this provided optional appliance safety switch, because should the condensate pump fail in the future and the safety switch is activated, it will automatically then shut “off” the furnace. In a condensate pump failure, I would rather have condensate water overflow and spill onto the basement floor rather than having the furnace being automatically turned “off” during a cold freezing winter day/night where there is a potential to have my other water house pipes freeze and split leading to an uncontrollable flood. But this automatic appliance safety switch is optional to use so it is up to you if you want to use it. As a warning backup, I put a simple and inexpensive water alarm next to the condensate pump to alert me anytime of the year when a condensate water pump overflows. This condensate pump has a 3/8 OD (Outside Diameter) push “on” barbed discharge port that is connected to a flexible plastic discharge hose that you provide and run to the nearest plumbing drain or outside by drilling through a basement window frame. This discharge port contains an inline check valve to prevent the backflow of pumped discharged condensate water remaining in the discharge hose from backflowing back into the pump’s container. This pump comes with an easy-to-understand installation manual, and it is made in China. This is definitely the item to use if you have a portable dehumidifier or permanent whole house humidifier system or a whole house air conditioner system to safely discharge condensate water away from these systems. Remember to remove the cardboard packing insert that protects the internal switch before using the pump.
