This is a great track light starter kit and includes everything needed except the light fixtures. You can install the cord whip with integrated switch OR you can hardwire it into your ceiling if you're electrically savvy. Installation is very easy, just watch a couple youtube videos and wire it up. We're very happy with it. We added lights from Amazon as well and its perfect.

I wanted to add to my existing track light and this kit worked great. I'm overall pleased with it, especially that it had all the connectors I needed and that it was compatible with what I already have. It's a great track light starter kit and includes everything needed except the light fixtures. You can install the cord whip with integrated switch OR you can hardwire it into your ceiling if you're electrically savvy. Installation is very easy and DIY friendly.I did notice that my track light fixtured fit a bit more loosely than the original track, but it doesn't seem to cause an issue. I would caution that there doesn't seem to be any strain relief for the the cord whip - I added a zip-tie to keep it from accidentally pulling out of the feed connector which would be dangerous. I also did not notice any safety listings from UL, CE, etc., so if that's important for you, this may not be for you. I'm satisfied with the quality of it and I'll probably order another pack.If you've never wired up a cord whip, here's how I did it (with pictures):First, open the end feed connector and knock out the plastic plug in the end. Then prep your wire by putting a 90 degree bend in the exposed tinned wire - this will help it stay in the screw terminal. Feed the wire into the feed connector, then unscrew the terminals a good bit so the wires are able to go in easily. Black goes to L (line or hot),White goes to N (neutral),Green goes to G (ground)Lay the wire into the left side of the screw terminal so that the bend curves around the screw. This will cause the wire to draw into the screw terminal (laying it to the right tends to push it away from the screw). I recommend tightly strapping a zip tie to the wire as a strain relief. Close the cap and install it. NEVER PLUG IN THE FEED CONNECTOR UNINSTALLED FROM THE TRACK. The exposed metal prongs are a shock hazard when not installed into the track!
