I own three Taylor's, one Yamaha. I sold my 12 string Taylor last year because I hardly played it and traded it in for Yamaha 6 string. Now, as most guitar players will tell you, trading or selling a guitar is a lot like giving up a kid for adoption. (perhaps its harder than giving up a kid ;) Anyway, I started pining for a 12 string but my bookkeeper (aka wife!) told me my present financial situation could not account for another expensive instrument. In comes Amazon guitar section. I searched for fun knowing I would never buy a guitar from Amazon!! The reviews beat me down and I gave in. I just received it, tuned it and I am no longer a 'brand' advocate. This guitar punches way above its price. It sounds as good as my 12 string Taylor which cost over a grand. I'm very excited to play this guitar. Of course until, I see another one I want. I'm guitarded.

I like everything about this guitar. It’s hard to believe that they can make such a quality guitar at such low prices. The quality is good, it sounds terrific, holds tune well and is comfortable to play. Then you throw in the other things that came with it such as a pretty decent soft padded case, capo tuner, cord, strap, extra strings and I forgot to mention the built in tuner. It sounds great running through an amp or PA System. I love it!! Hard to find 12 string for a lefty

First off, the guitar looked beautiful from what little I saw through the wrapper but that's where it end for the positive. The negative side is the condition it arrived and the guitar wood material were not ideal for longevity. Neck was broken due to shipping and not enough protection. The neck wood looked a little soft and not of a harder wood used for necks. The packaging material was inadequate for transportation purposes and I believe was the main factor for the guitar arriving in that condition. Since return procedures have changed, I felt it best to return for a refund.

I haven't had a 12 string acoustic guitar for about 50 years. I had purchased a couple of Vangoa's guitars for grandchildren when they were young and I was impressed by the good quality of these compared with other Asian built guitars that I sent back because of very poor construction, so I thought I would give this a try for myself. They do have a return policy should I be unsatisfied. It came from the factory in perfect condition. I had to level only a couple of frets, and not by much; another 1/2 hour on some sharp fret sprout, I lowered the saddle a bit, tuned up the nut and installed locking tuners. The factory tuners are just fine, I only changed them because a had these locking tuners on hand from other guitar projects. [ I have the proper tools for this and I am very experienced with how to set up most any guitar ]After lowering the action, I put on a set of 9 - 46 strings, tuned it down a 1/2 step and placed a permanent 12 string guitar capo at the 1st fret to lower the action even more and the playability is now very suitable for the 80 year old senior that I am with not so nimble fingers. I glued a rounded piece of 'comfort' wood on the top of the guitar to take the sharper edge 'pinch' away from bothering my under arm, very nice. Some colourful decals add a little flair and I am waiting for my Yellow Submarine decal to arrive. All in all I am very pleased with this guitar and happy to have spent less than 1/3 the price I almost paid for a name brand.

I was very surprised of the value and quality of this guitar. As with all 12 string guitars it takes some time to build up the expertise required to play it correctly. Acoustically it sounds good, electrically it sounds good. And with all the accessories that were included, I would highly recommend this guitar for beginners. It has a built-in tuner and it came with another exterior tuner! Comes with soft case, strap, cord, extra set of strings, wow! The only drawback is the tuning requirements and the deep C neck. I would prefer a V. In a professional recording environment, it made my song sound BIG. This is a good buy.

I got the matt black. This is my 3rd 12-string. My other two are a 70s Yamaha and a 2000s Yamaha, both of which I love both for live performances and for recordings.Tuning hardware on the Vangoa is subpar as received. That's the weakest link. (Uneven, too much play.) Capo doesn't work with the guitar. (Too flat, not strong enough, rubber too hard.) Other than that, though, amazing deal for a surprisingly loud, chimey, nice-sounding 12! And the included soft case is actually functional and useful and well-designed. The accessory bag fits perfectly between the case's neck brace and the guitar's neck heel. Nice touch.I actually prefer a non-solid-wood top for a 12, so this one meets my preference. Had to tweak the truss rod, of course, but this is the first time that I haven't had to lower the bridge action on ANY purchased acoustic at ANY price level. Impressive!I play it in open-C tuning and do mostly Joni-style and Lightfoot-style finger-picking and index-finger strumming (no pick). A little light on bass response acoustically (which, hey, should make it perfect for mic recording), but having that cutout and the electronics on a 12 at this price-level more than makes up for lack of deep lows. The mids will fill a room enough that you won't miss the thump. It actually has a VERY wide dynamic range for a 12, believe it or not. It can go from very, very quiet to thunderous. Good harmonic sustain, too. I don't know how they pulled all that off with this laminate top--I assume it has to do with bracing and the nature of the thin finish, but there seems to be something more to it than that. It definitely hits above its weight class. Nothing boxy-sounding about it. It's the real thing. Sounds a few years old right out of the box. Score!Bottom line is that I am more than pleasantly surprised. Glad I stumbled onto the reviews on YouTube. Don't be put off by my having mentioned so many piddly negatives. The more important positives make this a worthy addition to any axe arsenal for anyone in love with the sound of a 12-string acoustic dread.

I saw this guitar on a Youtube channel called 8 MINUTE AX check this guy if you are looking for a 12 string.First off this not very high end guitar but when I got the instrument in my hands their were few things I had to and that was checking for damages, and then tuning up and playing it.1) The guitar was setup very nice (height of the strings) great for beginner's and that is the main key you want a instrument that has a decent to good setup cause it makes the playing experience enjoyable for starting out musicians and you want them to keep picking up the guitar and keep playing.2) The guitar could be packed better to be honest but their was no damage. So that is a thumbs up on that.3) I did few things like adjust the truss rod for my playing style. Since I do not ever tune a 12 string guitar up to pitch. I tune it a whole step down for this reason is to keep the longevity of the instruments since the top of the guitar takes on more stress than a 6 string guitars which it is normal. Tighten down the tuners since during shipping it is very common for those things to get loose4) The capo that came with the guitar is no really that strong to hold all 12 strings but I tested it out on my other guitars and it dose a fine job. My issue was it wasn't holding down the Low E string.5)The matte finish is not my favorite thing on the guitar I prefer gloss finish since it give the instrument a bit more protection for the instrument. The Matte finish shows all scratch marks very easily, oil smudges from your fingers and sweat marks. I like the the color black on my guitars.6)The electronics on the guitar is very good. I mean a cheap pick up you can get for $10 dollars on amazon it just sounds great. I would gig with this.7) I would recommend buying this guitar for all skills levels for a first guitar or backup instrument for the working musician. What you get is a GREAT DEAL.Ever since covid a lot of guitar companies have been skimping on the quality control. I have seen even $2000+ instruments having issue. I mean to pay that kind of money and still you are not getting the best of the best of them that is not good. And guitar markets has been rising up dramatically ever since 2020 even on the used market is ridicules.Vangoa really cares about their customers and they stand behind their products to provide quality instruments.About me I have been playing for over 20 years. My first instruments is ukulele and 12 string guitar. Then bass, and lap steel. I own a few brands that I absolutely love and I would not sell. some you may have never heard of. I learned over the years if a instrument sound good and play well that it is a instrument you get not the brand name or how expensive the wood it doesn't mean anything if sounds poor.Honestly I played guitars that are under $300 and sound really good. It may not have all the bells and whistles but it haves that sound you like you are going to pick it up every time.
