I played 35 years ago in high school and thought it would be fun to pick one up again without investing a ton of money. After a couple days of fooling around with it, I am satisfied with the performance of it with one caveat- the mouthpiece it came with is complete and utter garbage. I bought a Bach knock- off for around 15 dollars and the horn went from completely unplayable to very playable. I was surprised that the valves functioned quite well out of the box without adding any oil. For the price I am quite happy with this trombone.

As it's very hard to buy a compact valve trombone in B-flat in Europe, I bought this one from Amazon. My biggest worry was the tuning, but I must say it's not bad at all. For what I use it for (mardi gras band) it's fine. The longer you play them, the better these kind of instruments get.The valve springs made a lot of noise and are very sturdy. I changed them for a set of Yamaha springs, problem solved. The bottom valve caps in my instrument make a whisling sound, I also changed them for a set from another horn I had, problem solved. The mouthpiece is very basic, as always with these budget horns. Dont's use it, use whatever you already have, or buy an Arnold&Sons or something. My 12C works great on this trombone. It has a surprisingly nice sound. It comes with a basic, but sufficient case. All in all I'm very happy with this purchase.
