For photo comparison to a used OEM Miele SF AA 50, see photos (OEM is on top; this product is on bottom). Yes, I know this is an SF HA 50 replacement and not SF AA 50 replacement; the photo comparison is because that's what was in my miele and to show that this product has the proper tabs to lock in place. The gasket does seem to fit snug and I have no qualms with it.The difference is that Miele's AA (active airclean) is not called HEPA because in order for them to fit in theodor filter elements, it sacrifices some of filter quality to no longer meet the HEPA rating that Europe had revised to (0.2 micron size opposed to 0.3 micron size). This filter is advertised (in photos, but oddly not product description) to be H12, which is considered "true hepa" filtration but not medical grade. As such, these last marginally longer than an SF-HA 50 since those are H13, slighly more strict.In summary, your trade offs of picking this over an OEM SF-HA 50 are:1) Less filtration effectiveness (H12 vs H13, though this is still considered true HEPA). Please note though that I have no way of testing the validity of the advertised H12 rating; however, I did utilize my Miele with this filter to clean my air purifier's pre-filter. Afterwards, I turned on my HEPA air purifier to run on auto, and it never kicked into high gear so I assume things are ok.2) Charcoal element to assist with filtering some odors on exhaust, whereas OEM SF-HA 50 doesn't have that. Please note though that this won't solve all your odor issues if this is all you replace. Old bags, and old pre-motor filters also carry odors that even this won't help remove. Remember to replace those premotor filters, because they get smelly (that would be the rectangular strip that you should be cutting to place inside the bag chamber, every time you change a bag).3) Cost effective compared to OEM.

These filters work at least as good as the original ones in the vacuum.They are sturdy, and the filter fabric itself seems to be thorough at doing what it's designed to do.No complaints, no issues. Five stars!

Good Quality and a perfect fit for my Miele C3.Looks just like the Miele filter for a much lower price.
